No, Dahnsouff used to routinely refuse to acknowledge the worth of Iheanacho even when his statistical output was excellent.

In both instances it was me defending the performance of our players based on numerical evidence.

My stats said he was crap.

Don't worry, I absolutely can be a raging hypocrite sometimes, just like everyone. But my stance on the so called eye test vs statistics has been fairly consistent over the years.

You got me!  I don’t like current Facundo because he seems to keep making the same failures and making our crappy situation more difficult.

Not even remotely fair I know, as many others are every bit as culpable, but he is more frustrating precisely because we know he can be that much of a difference maker.

Personally if I didn't like the man and wanted to come up with an alternative name, I'd go for something like "The Dutch Ruudder"

Surely Ruud-kin works?

I feel like he's liable to try and force situations and chances at the moment.

His biggest shortcoming at the moment is he tries too hard and doesn't always release the ball when he should.

And there are dozens more quotes like this. As you can see below from my assessment of the player when he joined you, your experiences are now lining up with ours and the reason we let him out on loan was hopefully to fix these issues.

He did have a tendency to sometimes over play in our system under De Zerbi, and would regularly dribble into dead ends before chipping an ineffective cross, or losing possession. However, he is still learning and sometimes would be the player to at least try creative things - often unsuccessfully - to unlock a defence.

After a cracking start, he seems to have lost momentum for you under RvN, and he is nothing but a confidence player. When he loses confidence and starts overcompensating he becomes a weight for the team to carry.

I hope from both of our perspectives that he turns this around, but given the quality of your side presently it might be difficult with you guys in such a difficult spot.

Oh and atrocious decision tonight, you were absolutely robbed and it was a disgusting injustice. Big club bias - again.

Another player badly man managed. Van Nistelrooy never starts him in home games but we play an important away game and he suddenly picks him. Yet Ayew's strength is actually holding the ball up and we need that in an away game like yesterday.

His form is bound to drop off a cliff when Van Nistelrooy picks him here and there, then drops him and then only brings him on for 20 minutes a game.

When he played every week he was our best player.

He's not quick enough to play out wide. El Khannous should play off the left and try Buonanotte central if we're not changing formation

He looked ok under cooper when he was tasked with being responsible for creativity.  Since BEK now has that role, FB looks lost when he plays.
Pick one of them but not both cos it clearly doesn’t work

100%, been saying this for weeks. He was at his best behind Vardy earlier in the season before being dumped out wide. El Khannous has the skills and trickery to play on the left and cut in on his right

Tried to do too much constantly like the really good kid at 5 a side at school who won’t pass it  to anyone  . Beat one or two players that’s fine but he then continually tried to beat 3-4 and lose the ball . Needs to learn when to release the ball missed a couple of opportunities where he could have slid a pass through but missed the run and lost the ball trying to do too much .

I'm not sure with Facundo as i think he has to take some responsibility himself. Losing the ball cheaply and running into dead ends was a problem of his under Cooper. But under Cooper out strategy seemed to be to give it to him and magic will happen. When things became more structured, his form fell apart.

I was optimistic, but he has proven to be a disappointment. Was considered a season-saving figure by some fans (like RVN was), but that went out real fast.

Misses sitters, doesn't defend at all. Can't wait for Fatawu's return.

RVN wasted him.

easily one of our better players before he arrived too

Looked great with Cooper in charge, tailed off under Ruud. Still young, I don't think Brighton will be impressed.

What did we expect of a player that Brighton didn't want to use this season. It might have been a good idea in the Championship but not the Premier. Again proof that Brighton are a much better run club than us.

well yeah cos theyve had a big turnover(for them) of players coming in,

pretty sure the season before he played a good number for them
