Im fairly confident to say he wasn't. Look at the lack of fanfare when he arrived. The interview seemed heavily scripted by the club and didn't seem like the club were that excited. 

 

Wonder if it was Potter it would have been more of a bigger thing.  It just seemed half bothered at the time
