"Megson for Bolton" one of my faves the day before he quit and joined them. Henry Winter is fairly reliable, I wonder if the club leaked this news to him, would suggest Cooper's days are numbered. We aren't going on a winning run under Cooper so can see him being sacked hopefully before the end of the month! 2

There does seem to be more and more being written by the media that his job is under scrutiny, I really cannot see him lasting much longer than the next 3 games especially when you bolt on the bits and pieces being leaked regards how the squad perceive him and his methods.

I've said it before, but I'll be amazed if he's still manager at the end of the season. In fact I'll be very surprised if he's still here in January. It just has all the hallmarks of a situation that is just not going to work out. The question is how many more losses will it take for the board to act? I reckon three... cruzFOX Posted 19 November 2024 Posted 19 November 2024 3 more losses??? crikey the board should be ready to act after the inevitable Chelsea loss that is coming. if players down tools and not even try it has to be curtains for cooper surely! we can’t wait for any more easy games to come or another international break. It’s all uphill from now on and I’m sorry cooper has blown his opportunity to impress. 1

If Rodgers in 2022/23 taught you anything, it should be that Foxestalk is not consistent with total fan opinion. The fan that brought a big sheet to Brentford had it ripped down immediately, and that's in an away end where supposedly the more 'real' fans are. Majority of fans will look at us as a side that is newly promoted, lost our """"best"""" player, and are on track to a 35 point season. Performance, context & underlying statistics are not relevant to the vast majority, and it seemingly doesn't look as if its relevant to the board either.

I think more people are against cooper than for him. Not sure they could have seen anything to make them not dubious about the season. 1

Why have we got such a passive fan base?

Gazza M Posted 19 November 2024 Posted 19 November 2024 I think he deserves the next 3 matches (2 if he loses Chelsea and Brentford) but needs to take 4 points min to keep us going at a point a game. A run rate that will be enough for safety in my opinion over 38 games. To achieve this they need to put in some 90 minute performances and the tactics need to be better. Brentford and West Ham very winnable matches. Chelsea less so but you never know. Enzo might have a brain fart and we can exploit them on the break. Has Cooper got it in him, yes if he is open to a tactical change and abandons this idea of James Justin attacking without any cover. If he can't see the current way is leaving us wide open then he deserves to lose his job.

Got us to 15th having never been in the relegation zone yet. Drew at home v Spurs, beat Bournemouth at home, was minutes away from drawing at Arsenal. Not got much credit left though. Time and patience about run out I think.

Popular Post Sly Posted 19 November 2024 Author Popular Post Posted 19 November 2024 Cooper doesn’t have the credit in the bank Rodgers had. Whilst I don’t agree with the time they gave Rodgers, he’s leagues above Cooper. Cooper is every bit as bad as Levein, Bassett and Holloway. 10

If we continue in same fashion like Forest and Man Utd matches and lose next two then he rightly goes after Brentford for me.

Whilst I don’t agree with the time they gave Rodgers, he’s leagues above Cooper. Cooper is every bit as bad as Levein, Bassett and Holloway. This is it for me. Rodgers had managed successive top five finishes, a maiden FA Cup, a Community Shield and a European semi-final in the three seasons leading up to 22-23, all playing widely admired football, before a summer of virtually no spending and selling a talismanic GK in Schmeichel. You could see why a neutral who wasn't watching us every week would wonder why our fans were calling for his head. Cooper has achieved nothing here. He wasn't the man who got us promoted and his reputation for honking football is very much intact. Tolerances will be far lower as a consequence than they were for a guy who'd brought us some of our most consistent success in the club's history. 6 1
