Muzzy_no7 Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Looks like the club is choosing and accepting a bottom 4 finish with 28-35pts as opposed to making the crucial change now and getting this club back on track.
Michael wale Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 I think it is time for cooper to go now there is a break. The man I wanted from the start mark robins is now available. Question mark against back room staff too . Act now before we are doomed 2
AjcW Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 The most annoying bit is this is the timing that makes the most sense, and other clubs will act during this period. The reason we need to make a change during the international break is because we have no club coaches, so making a change when there's time for the players to have an extended break and get someone new in makes sense. Instead what we will do is panic in December, have the U21 manager in charge for a couple of games (he himself is new into that role!) and have to panic into a quick appointment that ultimately will need revisiting again in the summer. 1

What makes you think he would be an acceptable replacement for Cooper? 2 1
Filbert Fireworks Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 I think you could put Arne Slot in charge play a back 3 and we still wouldn't keep a clean sheet. There isn't a magic formation or starting 11 that is going to make this bottom 5 squad better. Very much the proverbial trying to polish a turd. Cooper out next one in. 5 weeks later it will be if we just get them out. 1

alfox13 Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 City are a rudderless ship the fact that he was asking his team for help is worrying as Piper pointed out it's the managers job to manage, tactics eg. not theirs, he looked like a rabbit caught in headlights yesterday not a clue what to do.
Wymsey Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Graham #Potter and Davies #Moyes would both be interested in taking over from Steve #Cooper at Leicester [ @footyinsider247 ]
RonnieTodger Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Please not Mark Robins. We’ve just hired one of our rivals beloved cast-offs.

Linked with everybody either he doesn’t want to work or there’s something off with him. I thought we were being harsh on Cooper but it’s absolute garbage, not one of our defenders would get into any other premier league team.

I got you again! Ha ha - your faces!!" Edited 11 November 2024 by ClaphamFox

K789 Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Goes hot. Gets my hopes up. And it's a nothing burger
Wymsey Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Would you rather have an older head, experienced manager or someone younger with a good track record and highly-regarded?..
Chico1958 Posted 11 November 2024 Posted 11 November 2024 Check Out who Brighton are hiring next and get in first. If he goes that is. But at the moment it's unlikely tbf.

We have £50m-ish of new midfielders sat warming the bench most games whilst players who we already had run around trying to create chances for Jordan Ayew because we "couldn't afford" better striking options. And they could turn out to be brilliant players but it's obvious the manager isn't all that fussed about them so why did we bother. Last year, Enzo knew exactly what he wanted. There was such a clear template to how we recruited. Wingers have to be able to win one on ones, want a keeper who is good with his feet, want very specifically Harry Winks. Came in with clear demands, Glover delivered, was largely happy. By the way, basically none of them had Championship experience. One of our best transfer windows in years, got huge mileage out of all of them and only Coady was a bit of a waste. Cooper turns up, his only ask is "premier league experience" and we recruit completely aimlessly and waste cash. Hideous. Our last 3 PL season windows have been dreadful, 169m spent, who been a success or has a resale value higher than we paid? Losing away at Man Utd was never going to make the average better conclude that Cooper is in serious trouble. Leicester fans who watched the game might see things differently, but clearly not enough of us are betting on Cooper to be sacked to shift the odds much.

Nine times out of ten the signings we make are absolute garbage, it's just every now and then we unearth an unbelievable talent and it skews opinion.
