Maybe on Wednesday there'll be news..

God I hope your right mate, I honestly think if we don’t make a change it could effect us for years.

So will it be 4th or 5th time Potter turns us down?
Imo he’s overrated and I’d rather go the unproven foreign route like Brighton and Bournemouth have done.
Or if we have to go for proven pl experience Sarri (very unlikely), RVN (although limited experience), or Moyes.

We've never recruited any manager without previous experience in the UK, unless you discount Enzo's time at Man City.

I don't want Potter either, he'll be another here who thinks he's bigger than the club and what he did at Brighton was set in motion by the club as a whole, they're set up to make any manager they employ a success. That won't happen here...

Just had something come up on my phone from sports mole, saying that Leicester are looking at two British managers(David Moyes,Graham potter amid Steve coopers uncertainty. Not sure how legit it is.

The talks are clearly starting to happen behind the scenes, as “no smoke without fire”.

You don’t splurge a small fortune to solve our PSR challenge, then sleepwalk into a relegation fight.

I was frustrated when I started this topic, as I couldn’t see a clear playing identity and any sense of in game management. I’m even less convinced now having watched 10+ games under his regime.

You need an element of luck in football and sometimes it goes for you, sometimes against you. We’ve been quite lucky in games and we can’t shy away from that.

These things tend to even out across the course of a season and with our defensive frailties, and the ineffectiveness of our attack, we will struggle to to pick up enough points to survive in my opinion.

The standard between the bottom of the Premier League and the top half of the Championship isn’t massively different. in reality, last season our record against the sides toward the top half was iffy. Leeds, Ipswich, Middlesbrough, Hull etc all went toe to toe with us. Our consistency in the first half of the season saw us get over the line.

Fast forward to us starting in this league and we’ve in reality added a bit more technical quality with some of the signings we’ve made. Tactically our approach has declined and the in game management is shocking.

I’m not quite sure why we’ve signed Reid, Skipp or Eduoard. Ayew I questioned, but he has however proved to be useful.

Kristiensen and Soumare were additions to this squad over and above what we had last season. What is he even trying to do with Victor, as he’s not suited to this fullback role style he’s currently being deployed in.

I suppose the point I’m trying to make is, that clearly has some ability within it. I just think that they need a bit of direction and maybe some fine tuning, man management and confidence reinstating, we might just be able to get enough points to get us over the line.

Sometimes it’s just a new voice that’s needed. I personally don’t think that’s Potter by the way.

The team reflects the manager which says everything.... do we again have to wait until its to late to pull the trigger .... don't really want to trawl the usual suspects swamp for a replacement... after all they are out of work for a reason ... let's go for young and ambitious... nothing to lose ... everything to gain .... we will be in the bottom 3 before long they way things are going and I don't for 1 minute believe Cooper is the manager to get us out of it

He's going nowhere because Rudkin, Whelan, and Top are not slightly interested in the football.

They'll be blinkered enough to think that we'll pull through because of some iffy results. They'll be happy to chance it on the off chance we stay up because if we don't the assumption is we'll come back up again.

Regrettably, there doesn't appear to be any foresight at this club anymore. All decisions over the last two years really do point to that.

Surely we don't have to pay him off if we just use employment rules?

"Not been 2 years mate. Off you go"

Rayners changing that.

Ultimately, people will have been sounded out potentially replacements.

Hence why articles are popping up in the media.

Forest fans warned us that Cooper is tactically clueless and wholly reliant on individual moments of brilliance to get results, and that’s exactly what we’re seeing. He’s a ‘moments’ manager with no ability to organise a team (especially in defence) but is sufficiently likeable to inspire them to play well for short periods of games. It’s not enough, and we need better.

Were they included in the 3K odd who seemed to hate him when the they came to the KP a few weeks ago!?

If you're a Brighton, Brentford or Villa fan you're loving football at the moment. How most of us feel is a natural response to the long standing malaise throughout the club.

That said, I still think that at the end of the day all clubs like ours are in football is window dressing for the continued success of the big 6/7

Has anyone asked John Percy?..

Someone with twitter needs to ask him….

Hello, John.

Any reason why old Stevie Cooper is still stinking the gaff up at Leicester?

Thanks.

Sorry I don't buy this  " the players are not good enough " everyone can see the problems and some can easily be solved with the players we have and a better tactian.

So kick Justin out and replace with ????? RP injured. I do not know any other right back in squad.

We don't need to replace him with anyone. Just scrap this high RB nonsense and have our fullback in the fullback position. Common sense says he won't be out of position as much if he isn't required to leave that position.

Could maybe just not set up in a way that leaves him very badly exposed when he's clearly struggling and getting targeted by opponents every week then

At least the people who run the club know what delaying sacking a manager can mean🤔

Surely the opening paragraph on the invisible investigation into 22/23 was ‘don’t leave it too late to make a big decision’

Quite simply , if he’s here for another 4 games or more we will be relegated.

Will that make him any better?

Yes. Asking him to play a role he's comfortable with? Absolutely. Especially if you protect him with Fatawu (who isn't one to shy away from his defensive duties) playing a more traditional winger role, instead of this drifting into the 10 position nonsense that Cooper likes from his RW which leaves the RB even more exposed.

I see so many comments on here from football managers. Everyone is entitled.to their own views. We are not managers we are fans. Cooper is the manager and he has a reasonable pedigree. When people were clambering for certain players to play and they did, what happened? We are also (mostly) not business owners and so we have no knowledge of why the board like a certain manager and what is their trigger point. We have some very tough games coming and any incoming manager would be out before he was in almost. Moving Justin is not going to make us contenders IMO.
