And not even a decade ago, this was us. Finding absolute gems of players for really decent fees.

That's what's more annoying,is that all of the above apart from Murillo were fairly well known and sought after.

Sels - £6m

Aina - Free

Milenkovic - £10m

Murillo - £10m

Moreno - Loan

A defence that'll put them into Europe for the first time since the Argies tried to invade the Falklands for the price of one Oliver Skipp.

Add stuff like Hudson Odoi for £3m, Elanga for £15m. Wood for £15m. Jota for £6m. Dominiguez for £6m. Gibbs-White for £25m etc.

Makes you sick.

And that Ipswich are prime Barcelona because they got a draw at Fulham and play fantastic football. Can't people just say we're shit and leave it at that rather than exaggerating how good teams around us are

This forum has always gone into a panic whenever Forest have looked half decent.

In the 09-10 season, they were going to win the Championship without breaking sweat and stay up for years. They got spanked into oblivion by Ian Holloway's Blackpool in the playoffs and didn't get promoted for another 12 years.

Now they're going to make the Champions League. They're having a great season and look at solid side, but they're in form and confident. One or two defeats and they'll look average again.

Forest are light years ahead of us

They're a good couple of transfer windows ahead of us.

They got 32 points last season.

Good luck to them. We can only envy what they’ve done, like they did when we won the league and FA Cup. Maybe that might make Top realise we need a proper DoF

And we sign Skipp for 25m ....who can't tackle pass or run 🙄

Wolves are too good.to down.  Good manager, good squad......I wish we were the same

They've let in as many goals as us, and could be more by the end of this game. Let's not pretend they aren't shit

I think they'll get Europa, which would still be a very good season (albeit with the amount they've spent since promotion they probably should be top half)

Absolutely, but let's not pretend they haven't spent heavily. It shouldn't be in any way compared to what we did

Yeah they have the 8th highest spend in the premier league over the last 5 seasons, and that includes the zero from the year they weren't in it.

We are half way through the season first may get top 4 may not still plenty of football to be played . Still think Man City will come good and get top 4 along with arsenal and Chelsea but no point worrying about it yet

I think they'll be sweating on Europa between themselves, Bournemouth and Villa. I reckon 7th or 8th.

The most impressive thing about Forest, is they don’t **** about. They clear their lines, they get the ball wide quickly and take their chances.

Just like we did when we won the league.

It makes you sick that way of playing, it clearly works, when you’re competing against the big spenders you can’t buy a team that can out play with success in long term. Counter attacking at pace and you don’t need the most expensive technical players that cost the earth.

The way I always think is Newcastle, Villa, Brighton and now Forest who are having a real golden period will more than likely end it without any silverware.

We might’ve completely ballsed it up but at least we have something to show for it

Yeah give me one season as Champions over 10 seasons on the top 6

Still unforgivable how far we've fallen though

Newcastle and Villa are big clubs who will always be close enough to know they'll be back if they slide.

Forest and Brighon, like us, are smaller flash in the pan teams but like you say we have a league and cup to show for it. Of course, Forest's last flash in the pan got them a league and 2 European cups which is fair enough for any of their fans over 45 years old to enjoy.
