Potter ball is dull as dishwater

It’s so bad isn’t it! I thought they just weren’t really trying against us but… that’s the style!

I guess they’re all going through the motions a bit, safe this season, he’s left a few players out so they probably can’t be arsed to make an effort. Plenty of change there in the summer I imagine

Someone should send Top and Rudkin the Gary Neville interview with Jim Ratcliffe on the overlap.

I think we’re owed that sort of insight as to what the club is doing about our failings.

Just felt like Gary trying to get a job to me, and I imagine he will get one soon enough.

Thought ratcliffe handled Neville quite well, if you were a United fan though you probably wouldn’t be too happy. Seems like ratcliffe’s main aim is to cut as much spending as possible launch a new super stadium and cash out

I think the bit fans don't understand in these discussions is that Ratcliffe is likely looking at two seperate businesses.

He'll have completely seperated the business cost of players etc from the day to day Man Utd staff.

So although the £40k cut and the lunch looks stupid, he's cutting that from a regular business budget, not the £300k a week the players get paid.

He's right, a member of staff shouldn't get an S-Class chauffer down to london just because they work for a football club.... much like our ****ing comms director shouldn't have a private jet selfie on his linkedin!

The thing with the meal thing as well, weren’t they spending an absolute absurd amount on catering a year? These isolated incidents do come across as proper daft especially with how big of a mess the club has been financially but they probably make sense.

like I say I think he played it well, Neville was punchy enough to make him uncomfortable but yeah if I were a United fan I wouldn’t be too enthused.

Oh yeah it certainly came across is "there's a few more years of this shit to come" rather than anything more positive.

He'll be cutting costs here there and everywhere, and ordinarilly none of these stories would come out, but the press are lapping it up so we'll hear about every little thing even if in reality it's probably a good call.

There's an awful lot of synergy between our two clubs.

He says "The last two management groups have to take a lot of responsibility for what has happened here, not just the glazers"

It's exactly the argument we are having, Top has let Whelan and Rudkin do what they want and we are paying for it.

And Ratcliffe is flipping that by being involved in the day to day but it'll take years to fix.

It's exactly what we need from a new owner/new management group.

I’m guessing when you’re paying players like mason mount 300 bags a week but telling poor eileen to lump it as the players don’t need a cup of tea anymore it’ll never be the greatest PR story

the one I did find ridiculous at the time was them cutting fergie’s salary, don’t care who he is paying 2 mill for some **** to sit in the stands is diabolical mismanagement lol

Is kind of depressing that another British institution is to be replaced with some corporate bowl with bigger cheese boards so the Washington rams can play a game every year

Old Trafford is awful though. Sightlines are terrible, roof in leaking, inside facilities (and I mean the absolute basics) are an absolute disgrace.

I hope they go all out to make something which does look a bit different though I expect it to end up looking like the new stadiums in LA and Vegas that the Rams and Raiders play at.

Why does their new stadium look like it’s come straight from the Qatar World Cup ?

anyone want a bet that they’ve used the drawings and plans from one of the new Saudi stadiums being built to save money!

Part of it is meant to be built using ship containers which one of the Quatari stadiums was also.

Could easily refurbish a lot of it though rather than taking away the one bit of the club that still has a bit of its soul left

I understand what you mean (apart from about Ratcliffe, the guys a charlatan).

It’s galling though that Man U’s owners can make way more mistakes than even ours but there current situation is only as low as they can go basically.

The holograms make it look so retrofuturistic. Like a 70 year old's idea of what the year 2000 would look like.

The spires (or whatever they are) look like a middle-eastern dictator's shag pad.
