genuinely a detriment to the sport. They will destroy this generations top talent because of burnout, injury and just the fact that they wont be in physical condition when you go to watch them.

Such a good idea to expand the european competitions and fifa club cup or whatever it’s called.

I have no idea why players go down their family history to play for a smaller nation that has no hope.  If that’s what you consider your country then fair enough but i think some of them just do it for exposure

With facundo suspended we have no one late back

Chelsea might do ??

Wout Faes was given 2/10 for his performance for Belgium in their 1-0 loss against Israel by Belgian publication Walfoot. Their assessment of his performance was as follows:

"Absolutely catastrophic. We know that Wout Faes is, at best, a decent defender, from whom we should not ask the moon. The problem will always have been to make him the boss of the defense while he multiplies the blunders match after match, without ever departing from his totally misplaced arrogance. Let's hope that his role changes for the next campaign or it will be impossible to move up a level."

Well at least he's consistent for club and country, I suppose.

Not sure where you got that quote from because it's not true. They actually said about multiplying the dumplings so let's not spread misinformation...

Watching Bobby Reid for Jamaica. He's been shite, and they've just gone 1-0 down to the mighty St. Vincent and the Grenadines. lol

Opponents Ukraine held a 3-1 advantage heading into Sunday's game but a stunning, late Romelu Lukaku double, following Maxim De Cuyper's opener 20 minutes from time, saw the Red Devils produce an remarkable comeback at Cegeka Arena, triumphing 4-3 on aggregate in the play-off match.
The Foxes centre-back was an unused substitute in Spain on Friday but came into the starting XI and helped to keep a clean sheet for Rudi Garcia's side, who end the international break on a high.

Fellow City defender Jannik Vestergaard started Denmark's 5-3 aggregate defeat to Portugal in the Nations League Quarter-Finals, losing 5-2 after extra-time in the second leg, having taken a slender lead to Lisbon.
Cristiano Ronaldo missed an early penalty for the hosts, but Joachim Andersen's own goal did put Roberto Martínez's men ahead prior to half-time. Rasmus Kristensen's leveller was then followed by Ronaldo re-establishing their advantage.

Victor Kristiansen was introduced in the 73rd-minute and, three minutes later, Christian Eriksen found the net for the Danes. But, in an end-to-end encounter, Trincão's late goal took it to extra-time. The Sporting winger added his second shortly after the restart and Goncalo Ramos confirmed Portugal's place in the last-four of the competition.

In 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying, Danny Ward remained a substitute as Wales beat Kazakhstan 3-1 in their campaign opener on Saturday. Daniel James, Ben Davies and Rabbi Matondo all scored at Cardiff City Stadium as Craig Bellamy's side began with a win.

Development Squad attacker Logan Briggs was on the bench for the Dragons' Under-21s, meanwhile, as they ended their camp with a 1-1 friendly draw against Sweden in Valencia on Sunday afternoon.

And Louis Page was also in action during England Under-17s' UEFA EURO U17 qualification campaign, coming off the bench during a 2-0 victory over Israel, before playing 90 minutes of the 3-2 win against Slovenia at St. George's Park.
The centre midfielder could feature again in Tuesday's match-up with Northern Ireland at the same venue (7pm GMT kick-off) as the young Lions look to maintain their 100 per cent record and remain top of Group G.

Monday sees Ghana play another World Cup qualification match, with Jordan Ayew in line for more minutes having scored for the Black Stars on Friday. Check back to LCFC.com, the LCFC App and

I disagree. Thought he did fine.

Lots of endeavour, little quality. He won the ball back a couple of times and then immediately lost it again. But all the subs were a downgrade, except Biereth, IMO.
