True plus deep down most Ipswich fans will be saying if they were given a choice of winning the fa cup or staying in the premier league... think we know what most would choose..

Watching the FA Cup this weekend and reading some of the threads about where it all went wrong remind me of the baffling notion some of our own fans had on here at the time that we were lucky to win the FA Cup.

 

We beat 4 premier league teams including the team who finished 2nd that season and, I don't know, the team who were champions of fvcking Europe a few weeks later??

I can’t stand those posts. Just because those don’t like Rodgers they try and play our own trophy win down. We got relegated a couple years later but we won the FA Cup and I know which one I’ll remember all my life.

 

I really hope we get to the FA Cup final again in my lifetime. People don’t realise how hard it is to reach the final let alone win it.

A couple of months ago, you'd have bet your house on Forest winning this in 90 minutes. They're bang out of form now. 😁

Our FA Cup run that year will forever be some of the happiest memories supporting this club.

 

Went into every game confident we’d get a result. Especially the United game in the quarters, you just knew we’d turn them over and they were no mugs.


Even in the final it never felt like we were an ‘underdog’ like some made us out to be.

 

So awful what we’ve become in less than 4 years ffs.
