Really hope this does bring a positive change for the fan base, and the trust is able to start hassling the club more for positive outcomes.

However, do think it is important for us to be mindful if there are any changes in terms of positive outcomes from the club if there is a change at the trust.

Perhaps posting a vitriolic match report would help?

In fairness, the match report did say:

The views expressed in this report are the opinions of the Trust member nominated to file the report only and do not represent the views of the Foxes Trust organisation

They're not speaking for the organisation, any more than any of us here are speaking on behalf of anyone.

<<< Edited to say:   I did a match report for the Foxes Trust many years ago.   And it really was just my bizarre rantings about the match, and the fun I'd had getting to the match.   I seriously wasn't representing the views of the Foxes Trust!   >>>

Yeah, but the poster was taking issue specifically with this Colin Hunt chap's opinion

Ha, I’m glad you had a lot more fun than the person who wrote the latest report! lol

I had noticed that disclaimer (admittedly misread it to say that a board member wrote the report, which isn’t the case, as confirmed by the author on Twitter); however, there has to be some sort of an editorial process here. This isn’t the first time someone has used a match report to try to bitterly settle some scores with other supporters in a match report and it’s embarrassing that the Trust would allow that.

I'm at the point where I see @Union FS as a more legitimate voice of the fans than the Foxes Trust, so anything to give the latter a much-needed kick up the arse can only be welcomed.

It's been that way for years as well I would say, and broadly speaking it seems like the overall mindset within the Trust needs to change, which means new people coming in who have fresh impetus. That's not to say the Trust haven't improved recently but feel like that's more because of external criticism.

Worth noting that the Trust has previously shared a challenge around getting people to volunteer time to its cause. Using time volunteered to write match reports - especially those that are critical of other sections of the fan base - doesn’t feel like the smartest use of that limited resource.

People want a Trust that represents them on key issues, not one that publishes divisive match reports.

Another reason reform is needed.

Some of our members only want to give their time to write match reports.

In the latest members e-newsletter we asked if any members wanted to join the match reporting team, particularly with  the membership growth and given the amount of discussions about each game on this forum are surprised no one new has offered to give it a go

Anything about the massive elephant in the room here?

Let's not forget Brentford away in 2023, when some of our fans were called 'idiots' for holding a Rodgers out banner.

I raised that with Mr Bason - I asked him if the Trust called Top and idiot when he took the advice and sacked Rodgers

We submitted our letter (signed by the requisite number of current members) on Monday. It’s Friday and the Trust are yet to even acknowledge its receipt…

The response will be hidden in this weeks match report.

Where is the video of the Foxes Trust day out on a coach when they were singing "dilly ding dilly dong" (I think it was!)

Yesterday, a request for a Special General Meeting, signed by the required number of current Foxes Trust members, was submitted to the Foxes Trust via email and in the post.

As part of this request, a resolution to change the Foxes Trust board was included. The Trust now have 28 days to call the Special General Meeting which will present an opportunity to change the leadership of the Trust.

Those who have followed our campaign over the past six months will know that we have been pushing for the Trust to become more effective - one which works on behalf of Leicester City supporters and can hold the club to account (critical given some of the astonishing decisions the club have taken recently).

After many discussions, we have become frustrated at the lack of change we have seen and at the current board’s resistance to fresh impetus at board level. A Special General Meeting presents a democratic way to achieve that change and freshen up the current board.

So what happens now?

If you are a current Foxes Trust member, you will have the opportunity to vote for change. We will be fielding a slate of candidates in upcoming elections and hope you will show your support democratically. Please encourage friends and family who are not current members to join as well.

If you are not a current Foxes Trust member, you can join the Trust to have your vote. Now is the time that you can actually have a say in who makes the decisions in your Supporters Trust and how you want it to work on your behalf. This is the opportunity to be part of creating a strong Trust so please make the most of that opportunity and come with us.

The Trust are yet to acknowledge the request, but we will be providing regular updates in the coming days and weeks. Watch this space….

It’s taken some time, but a new Foxes Trust is imminent!

:scarf:

If it isn't acknowledged within 28 days, what is the next step?

Look out for one of those reports where the starting letter of each paragraph spells out some expletive-laden message lol

I'm no fan of the Trust, but in fairness there was a match report in January of that year (the "idiots" article was in March) after the Forest defeat (?) in which the contributor called for Rodgers to go.

So, yeah whilst this particular author was an absolute moron, there does seem to have been a balance of opinions. It's just not that clear they aren't the views of the Trust themselves.

(...Imagine being such a cuck you wanted Rodgers to stay in fvcking MARCH, by which point it was clear he was actively trying to get his pay off, didn't care what happened to the club, and had started to turn on the fans themselves. Proper "the players are trying" brigade)

Something has gone seriously wrong if in less than ten years you can go from winning it to getting relegated from the PL, and be hoping that the best you can expect from your current manager is survival. **** this board.

Great post, hits the nail squarely on the head, something has gone terribly wrong somewhere sad to watch it unfold to be honest
