I think the point is Fatawu will learn with game time and develop his skill set and judgement.  Ayew peaked ability and returns wise at Crystal Palace while on loan years ago go.

With Fatawu we have a chance that something could happen, with Ayew the best people can say about him is he wins a free kick.

For sure Ayew is winding down his career, whereas Abdul is on the opposite trajectory, but this has little relevance to us getting what would be a golden 3 points today. Would rather see neither start, and I just hope Abdul gets on with enough time to influence the game.

What is your reasoning for thinking Bilal should start ahead of both?

Just curious as I think he has offered even less than both of them so far (in limited game time so far to be fair to him)

I absolutely agree that Bilal offered less than either, but I would like more attacking bodies up the pitch, both Bilal and to a lesser extent Facundo are less known and would hopefully cause uncertainty within the opposition.

Cooper puts out a "defensive squad" gets hammered by fans, actively makes a really positive attacking change to our midfield 3 that those same fans complained about, gets hammered by fans.

He can’t do anything right in many people’s eyes on here. Still think we will lose this one though, watched a fair bit of Bournmouth and they have looked really decent going forward, and we have been pants at the back.

Bournemouth no clean sheet in 9 and we've scored and conceded in all 6 this season. 0-0 then

They turned defeat into victory recently at Everton, going in to injury time. And we are hopeless at holding on to anything, going in to injury time. So the runes don't look good.

Yep, if he played Fatawu they would then move on to hammering him for Ricardo, if he played Ricardo they would then hammer him for not playing Vesty, if he then played them and we drew the game they would hammer him for whatever else they could think of.
Cooper has massively disappointed me so far, but as you say, in some fans eyes he cannot do anything right.

I won't get political on this thread, but it reminds me of someone I spoke to recently, who was calling Keir Starmer all sorts of names after he announced a government policy to house all veterans, he was genuinely angry because Keir Starmer didn't announce it on day 1. That was what he was angry about, that it took 2 months to announce a policy he agrees with. Madness.
