The comments from Italian fans at the time were telling. We got done and no surprise - even Congerton can see through this lot.

I do remember the Frosinone (or whatever the are called) fans laughing at us, and they were clearly right to, but as a Premier League club you do end up signing donkeys for this sort is money.

From the first few games he played…. You could tell he was shit.

can’t pass a ball. Rarely wins his headers. Average defender.

another great signing. What a window we had when we got promoted! Ayew ,BDCR, Skipp, Okoli.

One of the worst passers of the ball i have ever seen. He is a good solid defender, but when having to do something he is completely out of his depth.

Okoli has been out injured for previous 2 months.
first game back.
we conceded 4 with vestegaard and Nelson.
all of our defenders have many weaknesses.

it took marti 12 games to start Nelson! Our best defender by some way.

get the best out of our players. Okoli can’t pass, so tell him to pass to Ricardo or play forward as soon as he gets it. Nothing else.

okoli had a difficult game, I would still start Okoli and Nelson for the next few games. Let them build a partnership and start from there.

Some around me were saying it wasn’t Okoli’s fault for the first goal as he was given the ball under pressure. 🤣🤣🥴

It's his fault. But he shouldn't be in this position. Passing is by far his biggest weakness. He shouldn't be receiving this ball in that position as a centre back. He needs his right back to be to the right of him so he's more central with more options. The system didn't help him today. But still, it's his fault.

He's like a down-market Amartey.  If we can sell in January we should. he's not good enough and doubt he ever will be.

without a club….

I recall seeing a few Atalanta fans last year saying they were gobsmacked we’d paid £13m for him.

I had always wondered if the Bozo gene at LCFC was infectious? Or that we just only sign Bozo’s?

I’m still not sure on the answer to that.

He’s abysmal. He can’t move the ball, he can’t read the game, he can’t dominate the opposition in the air and he can’t be relied on under pressure.

Cooper spent nearly £40m on Okoli and Skipp. Two players who were probably worth 10% of that and have little to no sell on value.

Problem is that a bozo club employing bozo people to recruit and over pay for bozos.

He’s a professional footballer that’s somehow been in the Italian squad. He received the ball under minimal pressure and had a number of options (even just getting rid.) If he can’t deal with a pass like that then he has no business being in a Championship team. Bang average at defending to boot. That part of his game is hyped up because the lad can’t pass a ball to everyone assumes he’s a great defender and he just isn’t.

Does anyone think he's a great defender? He's bang average, but he's also the only defender who can play that position when we invert our right back (unless you bring back Faes). His passing is some of the worst I've ever seen. I don't know why we signed him if we wanted to play out from the back.

He's one i've really wanted to like, and really wanted back in the side. But he is a dreadful footballer and i think he has huge mentality issues. You clearly see his 'pause' after he makes a mistake, like he needs time to mentally process what has just happened.

His first touch before hammering it against the Watford player - I could do better. Terrible, terrible footballer.

When pressed he just kicks the ball out of play. He does that all the time. At that level a player should have some solid one-on-one skills and confidence. He's got little to show for it.
