We lose this Cooper has to go, cannot afford to give him the game against the Redshite.

And if we win? What will it be, if we lose to Forest he has to go? When would it stop do you think? Or wouldn't it....

This joker has the blueprint. Smashed them into the next life last season and they play the exact same way.

Play Abdul and Stephy and concede possession until they make a mistake, its that simple!

debatable. I'd suggest only a fool would spend 8m on a winger/striker who gets booked more than he scores, and then play said winger over two wingers that had come off fantastic seasons the year before

This is Rudkin's fault is it not?

I thought this is why we all want him out, because of his handling on transfers and contracts.

Can't have it both ways. Can't blame Rudkin when we like the manager but then don't blame Rudkin when we don't like the manager.

On a seperate note I'm looking forward to seeing their 7000 space safe standing kop behind the opposite end goal.

Interestingly I know it’s not been universally popular amongst their fans atmosphere wise. Will be good to see it.

Probably from the types that want to stand next to away fans for the wicked banter

Never stops once a person is in the c*nt book and Cooper has been there for some since he had the gall to accept the job.

And if/when we are mathematically safe it will be "we could have finished higher with a different manager".

People make themselves miserable with all the moaning, but Cooper?

He no doubt pays zero attention to noises off and smiles when he looks at his bank balance!

We bummed them twice last season. That worries me.

So you'd be less worried if they hammered us last season then ?

Yeah right.

It should go without being said that I'd be personally delighted if we had a successful Welsh manager at the club.

I'd love it if he turned all of this around and went on a run of not just winning games but actively improving the players and the football we play at the same time. I've called for his head probably more than anyone but I'd be the first to put my hand up and admit it if he was doing well.

But my expectations for this squad are higher than just winning a couple of games against other terrible teams. A lot of the bottom half are absolutely dreadful this year, we shouldn't be satisfied just because he's scraping enough points together with anti-football to keep us around 15th/16th.

I accept survival at all costs to an extent, especially because if we get through this season largely unscathed we should be in a significantly stronger financial position next year. But I just think a lot of the people defending Cooper and patting themselves on the back for being great supporters for doing so are ironically hugely under-rating the players of their own club. We've a much better squad than our performances and as long as that continues to be the trend then, yeah, I'll want him to go. He has talent he's completely wasting and if you want to be cynical about that it translates in to a lot of potentially valuable assets that he's depreciating by under-utilizing or poorly utilizing because he's so ill-equipped.

TLDR: Wins against Forest and Soton would be nice but if you think that's sufficient enough to want him to stay, I really think you need to set the bar of expectation a tad higher. I'm not suggesting we should be top half or something wild but we should be showing good progress and currently we're regressing.

i was just asking the question to be honest, i'm not preplexed either way as my love for LCFC is at an all time low to be honest.

But its interesting that fans wont give him a chance if we win our next 3 so that would be 15 from 10 played. That form over a season that would put us at around 57 points. 57 last season we would have finished 9th...

Then will people just forget their feelings and actually buying to Cooper? By the looks of the forum i just dont see it.

He hasnt got a chance of winning over the fans here as people have their mind made up after 7 games.

He could win the next 3, and the posters would be all talking about how they cant stand the current situation, he is a failure at the job (without any substance explaining their reason), and because they cant figure out how the team is tactically they believe there must be no strategy, they upset that we no longer predictable, and finally of course if he loses the next game he should go.

It seems we need an identity (predictable stubborn way of play), its as if the rules of the game have changed or something.

It's both tbh. Rudkin as DoF will have final sign off on negotiations and approval of signings, but the head coach (with the recruitment team) will identify players they want and the head coach picks the team. Cooper and Glover came up with the idea of signing someone eligible for their AXA parker pen, and about as prone to just falling over as that would suggest, and Cooper is the one picking said pensioner over one of the brightest young talents we've ever seen, and Rudkin is the one who didn't veto the deal for making no financial sense

You stopped reading at that point didn't you?

I understand, I write a lot of complete waffle, I'd probably skip most of it too.

But then I might not also throw sass.

Fine you sit back and accept this utter shit show. It's not just about the pts and staying up. His treatment of Riccy P and Abdul. We've seen under bodgers what happens next. But you're probably happy to see them walk on a free. His inability to let us play football. When we do we look OK but he wants us to sit back and soak it up. So far we've been lucky with it. But sooner or later we are going to get right royaly fvcking spanked.

But you carry on happy clapping.

Not sure why you have taken a personal swipe to be honest, but hey ho you are obviously having a bad day.

So say the board sack him tomorrow do you trust the board to bring in correct fit? As i certainly don't.

If you want to see 7000 people stood up behind a goal then wait for the 85th minute in the Forest game. Family stand will all be stood.

For months and months the defence of Brendan Rodgers was "who would we replace him with" and "who is better that would come here."

Then Villa, in an objectively worse position than we were in having narrowly avoided relegation and with a largely shit squad, poached Unai Emery.

Then it was "but our board won't ever get the recruitment right" and "we'll just end up with Rafa Benitez" and we went completely left field and wound up with Enzo Maresca.

There are absolutely better managers than Cooper out there and we absolutely could find and recruit them. We just largely ****ed it up this time, presumably because we felt panicked by the timing of it and aware of the major pending financial troubles we still had to navigate.

Again I'm not saying there isn't but I don't trust the board to get the right person. They haven't this time so what makes anyone think they will.
