A number 8, KDH or similar. We have about 6 players who can play the number 6 position, 3 than can play 10, but nothing in between for a 433

You want us to actively sign players for a formation the manager doesn't want to play?

Both Facundo and Bilal (in particular) would be good as the 8s in a box, RVN just doesn't appear to want to do it.

If the "top" of your box are 8s then the "bottom" has to be made up of at least one of the back four stepping in to midfield, as Ricardo did last season, and that's not something Ruud did at PSV or had expressed any desire of doing here.

Twin sixes being the foundation of his building seems to be a feature.

We need to build for his first choice of formation before we start even considering branching out in to being adaptable.

He's in our price bracket actually as I've just read he's only on £365K a week...

The ease with which opposition teams stroll through our midfield, and the amount of chances they then create, would suggest that the number 6 position is a major problem for us despite the fact that we have several players who can apparently play there. The fact is, we don't have enough quality in that position and this could have very grave consequences if we don't do something about it.

That's kind of why I think having an 8 playing slightly deeper than a 10 would give us more in central midfield when out of possession, and reduce the ease in which teams can play through us, and may also help with deeper creativity as none of our 6s are particularly creative. Creativity may improve when winks is back. A better 6 (and back 4) would be great, but I imagine the club would be reluctant to invest more in that position.

No doubt the constant pressure on our defence is a big issue - as it was in the relegation season - and is possibly as critical as the need for a new RB and CB.

The Skipp transfer so far has failed to improve us and looks a waste of money - especially as Soumare seems now to be preferred. Can we buy another six before selling one of Ndidi / Soumare / (can we sell Skipp in the same season as buying him?).

I think we will struggle to do more than 3 deals but most of us probably think we could do with 5 or 6 incoming.

I'd also factor in how poor our overall pressing is. Big factor of that is the loss of KDH who would press from the front.

Got to hope top knows this is make or break! Got to get his cheque book out and sign 4/5 players and steady the whole team and get us to safety because we can!

Id definitely like us to bring in a proper solid centre back that can lead us through games, but the main priorities are RB, RW, LB and probably a solid CDM

Our CBs are pretty poor, but I don't blame them really for the chances we are giving away.. they're too exposed by us being for too easily over run on both flanks and through the non existent midfield where we really lack pace

If I'm honest, if we stay up, I'd love to look at the back for and 2 holding mids and they be 6 new players.. as for Jnauary I'd settle for half of that.

We're still scoring goals, but the chances are drying up fast and I think that's due to absolutely zero threat on the right now Abduls out.

Suggestion wise, no idea

So here's a question for you. If you could only invest in 3 players maximum, what positions would you prioritise?

Garnacho (loan), Lindelof (buy), Kante (loan), Brandon Williams (free)

Williams is absolutely crap and his attitude isn’t great (apparently).

Has to be a right back, right wing and then either a cb or cdm that's not easily ran through and a proper leader .. one or the other to make us tougher
