Nixon apparently has transfer rumour on us today, anyone know what it is?

We're not signing anyone because of PSR most likely.

It seems to me that the club are letting leaks come out so it looks like we're trying. Happened last Jan, and yet nothing.

Think it's that Cannon might be recalled and sold to either Luton or Sheff Wed, and that we're still interested in Lindelof and Collyer from Man Utd.

The longer the Club drags it’s heels to get players over the line, and we stay in the bottom three, it’s only going to get harder to attract the profile of player we need - unless we are throwing cash at them  - leaving only likes of Ryan Bennett (shudder) as an option and survival this season even more remote.

Get. A. Move.On.

Just **** off Rudkin and Top.

it’s obvious we need signings and we need them now. We’re gonna piss about for the whole month a probably get one loan signing who doesn’t improve us.

just relegate us now. The club deserve it for the shit show of a management and ownership setup top continues to trust.

The fans don’t deserve it though and that’s the hard part.

if we get all our signings done by weds then they get a whole week before the palace game. Will it be done? No of course not.

What are the odds on Justin still being our RB against Palace? Ffs.

He will be 100%. There isn’t, nor there will be, anyone else.

In terms of priorities in this window, I see it as...

1.RB

2.RW

3.LB

Those 3 are absolute musts. We won't stay up without them. If we are able to address any others, it would be...

4.CB

5. ST

6.LW

Unless we’ve got bucket loads of money, and with our impending doom of a potential points deduction and maybe transfer ban upon our most probable relegation…

id target young promising players of the ilk of Fatawu this window with hope they put us in a better stead if we are to be promoted again at the first time of asking.

I can’t be bothered with signing players of the calibre of Coady on high wages and no potential in terms of resale, whilst also being hard to shift if they are performing badly as we can’t really take the lose on them due to FFP

I wouldn't trust anything Nixon says after the dubious Latte Lath story.

Think spot on with positions, would move CB to 3, ST to 4 and LB to 5 because I think Thomas showed yesterday he can be functional at LB as a last resort

First thing to sort is our playing style. There's an argument to go 5 at the back but that negates what could be a very useful attacking midfield combination of BEK and Buona.

Instead I'd make a small switch from 4-2-3-1 to a narrow, compact 4-3-2-1 which could bring out the best in Skipp and allow BEK and Buona to cause mayhem behind a mobile striker.

I know this won't happen but in my fantasy world I'd look to move on as many as possible and reinvest the money on half as many quality additions. Probably fanciful they'd join us, but I'd rather bring in genuine quality than numbers.

The prices are highly questionable (!) but taking values on transfermarkt..

6 Out - €68m

Faes (€20m), Kristiansen (16m), Soumare (14m), Daka (12m), Decordova-Reed (5m), Ward (1m)

3 In - $63m

Tomori (22m, Milan), Burkardt (25m, Mainz), Taylor (16m, Ajax)

Loans - Édouard out, Chilwell/Terney in

First team

Hermansen

Pereira Tomori Okoli Chilwell

Winks Taylor Skipp

BEK Buona

Burkardt

Reserves

Jakub

Justin Veste Coady Thomas

Ndidi Hamza Golding(?)

Ayew Mavididi

Vardy

Why would we sell Soumare

Thomas has shown for years now that he's capable of the odd decent game but is in no way reliable enough to depend on.

Borja Sainz miracle signing? Probably could've got him for the same money as Skipp in the summer

Makes me angrier to think we splashed 25mil on Skipp - when we could have got Sara if we only offered 2mil more. Imagine if we had ended up with Bilal and Sara....

Nothing personal to him, he's just one of the most valuable assets in a team that doesn't work.

If we're going to change things up (which I think we need to), we'll presumably need to generate some cash.

The summer window was the one we had to get right, but the threat of a points deduction hindered that.

There's a slim chance we might find an inspirational, unwanted re-tread similar to Huth this January, but I don't see many decent players lobbying their agent to get them a move here at this moment.

Igamane at Rangers looks interesting. Morocco produces talented players.

Wouldn't work in a team that doesn't have the lions share of possesion. He doesn't work hard enough and relies on chances being made for him.

More so I mean as a back up, if we are only able to sign 3/4 players as I fear, I’d rather a CB, St, Winger and most importantly a RB

Problem is, I don't think VK is good enough as a starter. I'd much prefer him being the back up. We are stronger at CB than we are at FB.
