New left back would be nice, but I think getting a few out the door is also crucial.

If we could somehow ship the likes of Coady , Ward and Hamza out … this would ease the burden in the summer!

On the WYS podcast last night Rob Tanner said he expected us to try and sign a new centre-half in January.

You would assume that means one has to go as well

Coady had some interest from the Championship apparently last summer but if Cooper has fallen out with/doesn’t want Vestergaard… will we even be able to get him out with his new contract

Now going to start looking at centre backs we should sign lol

For me it about trying to shift some out. Aim to maybe bring in one new player, a LB, striker on loan or perm.

shift out soumare, vesty, Coady, ward, hamza. I am also fully aware this is not football manager so it’s very unrealistic. But if we could do some of it, it could help next summer.

If we're playing this system, we probably need new wing backs. Left side especially as VK stands out as a weak link to me.

I'd rather we didn't sign anyone in Jan though, as (hopefully) Cooper isn't going to be here long term.

We don't want players for his system, or even worse - Players he asks for.

I don't think Cooper rates Vestergaard and Coady is destined not to contribute much here. I think Nelson comes back in the summer and will challenge Okoli and Faes and be heavily involved.

We already have two premier league loanees so can only get another one in if Edouard or Buenanotte go back to parent club.

Can see us going for a left footed defender who can play LB or CB, most likely on a permanent.

We could enter the non-PL loan market if the right opportunity comes up.

Nelson is as good on his left foot as he is on his right.

I think we've made a pillocks of which centre halves we have available for us. Okoli, Faes, Nelson and Souttar at this level would be absolutely fine. Although Nelson will benefit from 30+ Championship games this season and Souttar needs to play. Both should have futures here.

Vestergaard I'm not convinced he rates and he's not in the habit of rotating his back 4. Coady has never got off the mark here.

Any signing in January to the Central defence should only be a loan IMO.

I'm probably in the minority but I don't see the issue with Kristiansen, think he gets a rough ride! Not sure what we need to strengthen really as he has his favorites anyway.

Shift Soumare off finally. A CB...maybe if we can get rid of one of unfavored CBS, but we've got 4 and he only plays the same 2.

Loan or sell Iversen.

The talk of Chilwell is laughable and won't ever happen, there's a mutual hatred, nip that in the bud.

None of them can play as a conventional left back though.

If Kristensen gets injured it’s either Luke Thomas or a right footer there.

Justin moves over to that position, arguable where he's better anyway. Bit I get your point, we do need to strengthen that area.

Obviously depends on our situation and an injury to one of our main CB's changes things but I hope not. He hasn't really had any kind of sustained period of first team football and next summer he will be walking in the doors of seagrave having just turned 21 with a full season of championship football under his belt and a player of the season award under his arm ready to really assert himself. A bit like KDH after Luton.

Sounds like you want him to come back and feature next year but then you disagree with Ric who says the exact same thing?

Striker.

Love Vards to bits but it’s like playing with 10 men a lot of the time now.

It's not been that bad, but it's getting a bit desperate now. We'll leave ourselves in a situation where we need 2/3 strikers and that'll mean that none of them have a just to settle in and get up to speed. Ridiculous pressure on them straight away.

Won't happen either. Vardz will always be number 1 when fit. We tried multiple targets in the summer and they moved elsewhere. There's not many decent strikers about, AND Daka is returning. Edouard was just a warm body and is absolutely pony!

I think we probably have enough strikers to survive this season, the striker is probably the most important signing and we have to get it right we have got to be absolutely certain when we break the bank for the Vardy replacement and that wont happen in January in my opinion.
