Bounanotte replacement when hes recalled

No need for them to recall him with their attacking options, and there is also a loan fee involved so Brighton may not even have grounds to do so.

He's called Will Alves.

cynical thinking but maybe he is just probably not really tearing it up in first team training else he would get minutes maybe? Buonanotte/Fatawu all similar age so we cant say cooper wont give minutes to younger players.

Trying to sign players in January is always iffy, strikers doubly so. We'd end up paying through the nose.

The only exception to that rule is if we can bargain hunt and find a former wonderkid that's made a move and not lived up to their promise yet. Similar to Tielemans. ManU have just done similar with de Ligt. Probably need a less high profile one that de Ligt.

If we can pick up one or two still under 25 we could potentially get two or three good seasons and still net a profit.

All of our fullbacks are struggling on a continual basis to both defend and have a significant impact going forward.

Should we be looking for traditional fullbacks, wingbacks or using CB's in the same way Ben White, Timber, Nathan Ake have adapted to the FB role?

Has to be a left back, a center back, a striker and possibly an 8

Wouldn't spend anything notable though, purely loans .. January's a poor market

New manager, by the looks of things.

No fullbacks, just a left footed CB for our 3 at the back

I would much rather a left full back who is also happy enough to tuck in and be that that left footed centre back in a 3 if needed

If(when) we boot Cooper I think it is more likely we end up with a manager who plays "traditional" full backs and we can't then be stuck with them having a choice of JJ, Kristiansen, or Thomas again

We were linked with Anselmo García MacNulty in the summer from PEC Zwolle. Seems like a signing we'd have made in the Championship rather than the PL but his profile is the type of player we need for that role.

Not convinced we would go back to a more traditional style, but agree with the flexible suggestion.

Jayden Oosterwelde

David Hancko

Facundo Medina

Pascal Struijk

Don't think any of them would be cheap but they could all be good. We missed a trick with Arthur Theate in the summer.

brighton hardly willing to loan us Facundo unless we play him.

Fatawu was left out and only included when Cooper realised he was better than Reid

Alves could be Maradonna in training but he has no premier league experience:brendan:

why would you trust Coopers judgement of a player when he is famous for his misjudgement of player selection and tactics on a weekly basis?

I suppose everyone else is tearing it up in training:whistle:

What will be interesting is how willing we are, able to invest. With some decent incomings of actual quality , we could really solidify a push. When do we ever have a good xmas?
