Today will be the press conference. The club doesn’t work on match day. Everyone needs a rest on Sunday. That leaves 6 days. We are officially in the panic buy section.

I didn't realise the deadline was 3rd Feb??

Taking off today - can’t possibly work on press conference day. Match day is no work day. And Rudders needs a rest on Sunday.

It's exhausting being told to **** off by players, agents and clubs every day for the month of January.

I think the pre-match press conference may be tomorrow.

If we’re feeling brave, Patrick Ageymang. Young striker who plays for Charlotte FC  ( managed by Dean Smith) would fit right in.. even if it’s preparing for next season in the champ . Just broken through into the USA team where he has 2 in 2.. young, pacy, strong, can head , run and chase. Doesn’t get knocked off the ball.

he will be a beast in a couple of years time. Getting him in Jan might be a case of getting him before anyone else does and investing in the future as he might not quite be prem ready.

They’ve just signed Wilfred Zaha so that pair are going to run riot this season…

The last Brazilian winger we signed in January went well for one game.

Before the window shuts, buy promising young players to congeal into a proper team in Championship next season. Keep Ruud, hold onto Hermansen, Fatawu, Al Hanouss, Buonanotte, Ndidi,  Kristensen, Mavididi. See if Vardi wants to play for a nominal salary (if not, throw him a hell of a testimonial). The rest need to go at best prices we can fetch for them, however little that will be. Hire new management.

Having done all that, we will be promoted again in 2026. Trying to rearrange the same sad derelicts is what's happening here. Time to look into the future.

I really don’t know how to take a post seriously that compares McAteer to Willian..

🤣  the realism of it is that an ancient Willian actually drastically improves our pi55 poor starting 11.

plus he seems to only stay at a club for half a year so wouldnt over stay his welcome like ayew bdcr and vesty will do.

Yeah don’t worry I know it was just a discussion post.

honestly, just about any position in out starting 11 can be improved upon. No position is safe..  beginning of the window, I wanted us to choose carefully due to limited funds but I reckon we need to take who we can as time is running out..

Rudkin has had a look down the back of the sofa and found £2.25

Edit: on second thought he’s probably ended up owing the sofa money somehow

Maybe being an optimist, think we start hearing stuff tomorrow and a deal or two early

next week leading up to the deadline, think the way cannons deal has played out has meant some solid time to prepare some deals for the money coming in, having said that, our board are probably gonna be too busy Scrooge mcduck diving into the profit to realise the deadline is next week
