The manager needs to be his own man and ignore the bubbles such as Foxtalk.

Martin,Nigel Ranerri.or even Enzo wouldn't have entertained Foxtalk and the like.

He weakened the team by including Ricardo and playing two wingers.

He did a bit of Carsley before he was replaced.

Should we have had a pen? I was at the back at the other end of the ground so have no idea if it was a legit shout or not.

Nah, typical Vardy making a big meal of it

Assume the vardy "pull" not really he was never getting to it, you'd be livid if it went against you

I agree, I understand if it's the boyhood club who you have openly admitted supporting and being gutted to have left (I'm thinking Joe Cole west ham type player) but a journeyman should celebrate every goal they get, even more so against a team that he played for, it means more to prove them wrong.

Exactly. It's not like he was adored by our fans. Let him celebrate. Fair enough.

Still hate the Kiwi shagging twat though. 😁

They have been given for softer tussles in the past but it was no more than 50/50 in fairness

if that were the case he wouldn't have even been on the bench

Who would you have put on the bench instead?

How many chances did Forest have while we're controlling the game?

Without looking at the stats i cant answer and i was just going on the 1st half, 2nd half we were doggo. Maybe someone will post stats? but honestly the 1st 25mins we looked a better side than we have done all season (imo) and i wasnt hiding behind the couch watching.

I ain’t being funny but he had one chance tonight and took it.

That's kind of my point. Don't get me wrong I love Vardy and everything he has done, and give him a chance in the 6 yard box and he'll score more often than not. However I think we'd be a better team if we had a striker who would get involved in the play and offer more. As well as the goal threat.

Not his fault by the way, we shouldn't be relying on him at this stage.

2nd half shit show.

Cooper has no idea sometimes on how to influence a game in our favour. Just looks totally lost sometimes and then that filters out to the players.

He made the changes, and the players just lost all ability to play cohesively. What's he even saying at half time as well?

There's a distinct lack of responsibility being taken by some of our players. Too many mistakes regularly creeping in, too much laziness being shown.

Soumare isn't to blame for tonight in the slightest, but he just isn't the answer is he, ever lol

Today could have been a chance to show we can play well for longer than one half. But that seems to be the way this season.

Don't think so. Keeper already had the ball by the time Vardy went down.

Don't you?

No :P. Worst result, yes, for obvious reasons. But worst performance? No. First half we played reasonably well except for 3 successive errors in one sequence that lead to a goal. Second half really poor though.

Compare that to most of our other games, where it's tricky to even find a half of football you could be proud of!

Everton. Spurs.

Yeah very gritty getting a point at home to an Everton side in terrible form, and very gritty against Spurs when they should have been 5 up at half time.

The first half was better obviously,  but I'd guess, and I don't know, that Forest would have shaded all the stats.

we've got a full squad. Today was the first time Thomas has appeared in a squad, Vestegaard hasn't been seen for months (he's not actually injured), Kasey Mac is in the doghouse for something (Ayew and Reid offer nothing he doesn't). we're not so threadbare that a player not even trying in training still makes the squad

City made so many careless mistakes tonight and were punished with goals or loss of possession. Forest barely put a foot wrong and were solid in defence, which we weren’t and quick on the break. We were neither. They were on the front foot and we were on our heels. Poor defending cost us dearly.

Loved our tactic of floating crosses into their two lumps of centre backs. Ridiculously easy to defend against. Amateur performance in that respect.

Not sure what the tactical change was for either. No point bringing more midfielders on to just pack out an already congested midfield. Didn't make sense.

That second half performance was atrocious, you cannot consistently make mistakes and poor decisions like that and expect to get away with it.

Entirely down to the players tonight, the midfield shape and tactics actually gave Forest a lot of problems. We should have gone in ahead at half time with the control we’d had. But they ****ed about and shat the bed. Ricardo, Faes, Justin, Ndidi and Fatawu all very poor.

Agree with this, in every game no matter how set up, we concede chances it's painful how many we give up, I think we just have to accept that under cooper we will just do that, the difference for me was there was a clear style and plan that did cut forest open alot, they struggled with winks and the inverted full back, nuno just got wise to it and we didn't know what to do after that.
