Ipswich will likely win quite easily.  Our defence is just terrible. We concede too much space and too many shots and create so little.

I think it will 4-1 to them.  Cooper to survive until at least Christmas.

Not if we lose 4-1 on Saturday he won't.

I really think he's a lot closer to the sack than people think. I don't agree that as long as he's not in relegation zone he stays. I don't think you can purely go off points tally.

The stats are extremely alarming and they catch up with you eventually. You don't ignore the amount of shots we are facing and the xG conceded etc and just say oh we won a couple of games so what. Even our board aren't that inept.

We were sinking like the Titanic with BR while our board was playing Chopin compositions despite us calling for a sack. What makes you believe things have changed now?

Best scenario this weekend is that the 3 in the drop zone all lose and we leave them stranded. We are going to have to put a shift in to keep our side of the bargain. I hope not to see the ever obliging thread orange again!

I think any loss at the weekend sees him gone, especially with all those around playing each other come full time Saturday we could be dragged right back into it.

Steve Cooper Pre-Match Press Conference vs Ipswich Town

Suspension?

“We haven’t had confirmation that is going to be the case. It’s fairly common. You’ll see it most weeks. We’ll take it as it comes. It highlights the decision-making of referees. It won’t be a new experience for the players, they had it last season as well.

“I always try to be honest after a game. It’s a quick turnaround, and we’ve got to continue with our plan and all our focus is on Ipswich. We’ve had a good morning’s work. Through the frustration and annoyance of how the game went last night, it’s quickly been turned into motivation for the weekend.”

Assume you'll rotate team again?

“You pick a team that you feel is best fit to win you games. It doesn’t mean that the players who played last night won’t play at the weekend. We’ve picked up a couple of knocks. Abdul was not available for the game last night because of his groin. It doesn’t mean we’re going to go a certain way on Saturday.”

Ipswich still not won?

“We don’t want any team to get a positive result against us. We’re aware of that. That’s not for us to be concerned about. It’s about our preparation and getting our third win. There’s a big determination to do that.”

Work on defence?

“It’s always the case. I won’t hide away from the goals we’ve conceded. We need to focus on our concentration and be present in the moment. We’re in a ruthless environment where you do get punished. We need to get the balance right and to tip it our way so we’re scoring more than we’re conceding.”

Big game?

“A win can make such a difference, as shown by the wins we’ve got already. Three points are three points. A win is always the first objective. We really want to get that third win. The games are going to come around quick, but that can be a positive.”

Fatawu injury?

“We’re waiting on a scan. He picked up a pain in his groin in the build-up to United. We’ll see what the scan brings. Hopefully it’s positive news. When you send them for scans, you fear the worst. We’ll see.”

Kristiansen?

“He trained this morning for the first time. Pato is back in training as well. Michael Golding is back in training. Jannik returned last night. On that front, apart from Abdul, it’s fairly positive.”

How much work on defence can you do in two days?

“First and foremost, it’s facing up to it. There’s always a topic to talk about where we can do better and at the moment it’s giving opponents good opportunities to score against. That topic will always change. We’ve got to bear it in mind. Concentration is such a key factor of what we’re talking about now. Let’s cut it out. If an opponent scores past, let’s make sure they have to work really hard.”

How will suspension affect players?

“We’re big on players taking ownership and they often can’t hear much from the sidelines in these big stadiums. A lot of the players are still here from last season when they had experience of it. The players are honed in on the game. That will be no different no matter who’s on the touchline.”

Game more significant because Ipswich will finish around you?

“I don’t think we should assume that anyone should be anywhere. It’s more about living in the moment, respecting who you’re playing against. You have to earn the right to make things happen against every opponent. When we’ve been at our best, it’s been about what we do in games.”

Whatever happens we need to win. Wolves v Palace will be interesting but I think Everton will beat Southampton.

"Concentration" "Determination" "Hard work"

3-0 Ipswich.

The only thing giving me hope that the end is near is that his actions are totally of a man who knows his time is nearly up.

His going on and on about their 2nd goal being offside, him becoming even less and less coherent, the fact that it's likely it's got back to the board that the players have not respect for him

It all gives me hope that he'll be gone this side of Christmas at least

I would go full Enzo. Two high 8's with Vesty dictating and Ricardo inverting. Bring it back Coops.

I thought we looked a lot better than them in both games last season though to be fair...

But you are right, we couldn't beat them.

If Fatawu is out I'd like to see Buonanotte on the wing and El Khanouss at an attacking 8.

                                     Hermansen

                         Okoli   Vestergaard  Faes

                                 Ricardo  Winks

             Buonanotte  Ndidi  El Khannouss Mavididi

                                        Vardy

Nope. This a must win game. Any other result will be a disaster. Southampton, Everton, Palace and Wolves play against each other the same day.

Disagree……no chance of winning this and will likely lose so a draw is our best option.

Ipswich will open up our defence.

i get your point about the other matches but a draw will do wonders for moral  after losing to Forrest.

If we lose the rot has set in and end is nigh.

We've had so many games over the last three seasons that felt like a "must win" and we've lost nearly all of them. The only ones we've won are against Southampton last season and this.

It's ironic as when we got relegated from the Premier League last time it was the two games against Southampton that really cost us. We gave them six points and we just can't afford to do the same to Ipswich
