The last minute goals were against 10 men on both occasions - I don't think they'd have been forthcoming without

I admire your positivity though and hope you're right.

I'm just a miserable old git at the moment as I can see Cooper destroying the club much like Taylor, Pleat, McClintock etc have done in the past.

That damage was done way before Cooper arrived, he’s now playing with what’s left of the pieces of the club we aspire to be.

Spot on.

Cooper now suffering the wrath on here

because he's the poor footer being bestowed the task of sorting out the trail

Of crap and mis management left behind by the predecessors. In particular Rodgers who set us back Five years...at best.

Three things that should bring successful results ....

1)  Home advantage - familiar ground with louder crowd support and less traveling

2)  Manpower advantage - playing against a depleted or lower positioned team

3)  Personnel advantage -  Having a likable manager,  generous owners and team spirit

But it doesn't always happen because....

Superior teams can become complacent while underdogs have more to gain and throw all they have at the fight :)

However, Leicester don't lose through complacency and don't always get rewarded for fight so I'm not sure what their problem is at the moment.

The only thing that wins games is more goals!

Thanks for your question Steve, I think you need to work this out yourself, though.

I had a word with Steve about this problem and his response was  "... but it's so hard being a manager and I get so many confusing things to deal with :dunno: :surrender::unsure:"

Having a solid defense would also help us win more games, also scoring first.

Can't believe this thread has been going as long as it has and not one a single post highlights the obvious and number one way to improve Leicester City's fortunes on the pitch

Just get the opposition fans to sing bad stuff about Jamie Vardy's wife.

When they think the ref is against them or incompetent.

Isn’t that all of the time so how come we’re awful even though the officials are schitt???? 😉

Honestly, when the side isn't recognised externally for how good it is.

Great Escape, PL win and CL run the following year all had a good side, that people in and around the club knew was very capable, and those outside the club had no idea.

We loved seeing sides turn up thinking they would beat us only to be met with the absolute force of confidence at the club.

I miss it.

The best circumstances have been when despite the players available, there's been a manager who the team believe in. We haven't had that with Rodgers or Cooper. Whatever Maresca's foibles were when he was here, at least the players appeared to believe in what he was trying to do. They can sniff out an imposter or liar.

But there was no situation under maresca where the team significantly upped their game. It was the same one paced side to side football regardless of where we were in the league, who we were playing or whether we were winning, losing or level. Maybe the players did believe in what he was doing but the situation getting the results was that we were in the Championship playing rubbish teams.
