If we get RVN it just goes to show how directionless the club is. Obsess in the summer over Premier League experience and then get a manger with very little experience at all.

Yeah took over us at our lowest, turned the club around instantly, created a good positive culture at the club, was unceremoniously sacked for a big name after play off heart break 2 years later, falling short of back to back promotions (pfft). Came back after the club had made shambolic decisions, turned it around again, lost out in play offs in just about the worst way. Picked the players back up off the floor and won the league at a canter. Took us through a Premier league campaign with probably the greatest survival story and run in Premier league history putting all the work in to win the Premier league a season later. 

 

But he was mean to a couple of fans that were absolute twats once or twice...

The premier league experience was about the players, that was coopers directive.

By that metric when Alonso went to Leverkusen it was like them having Lampard an'all.
