Just the 74 goals conceded.

I just typed out an answer but want to make sure this is a serious post before responding? You're using one metric from one season (where they finished 9th, 26 ((twenty six)) points clear of the drop zone) from a 5 year tenure to suggest he wouldn't be a good fit?

Wanted Corberan in the summer not so much now. He’s been criticised a lot the season by WBA fans for their lack of goals. 18 goals in 16 games

We have a better team though and players like Facundo and Bilal would thrive, even winks.

Carrick and then sign Latte Lath in January

Top scoring side in the championship ahead of Premier League Leeds United, he would be a gamble, but it could pay off.

Hmm. So some journos claiming Potter has said he is not interested, others that the club has been in talks with potential replacements, but not approached Potter.

Personally more inclined to believe the latter. If he has turned us down before (or simply wouldn't commit within the timeframe, depending on which version you believe) then, as far as the club may be concerned, that ship has has sailed. Had his  chance we move on.

Having said that, watch him be announced tomorrow.

In the past this would have been what we would have done. Gone for a young up-coming manager. But what are the board actually wanting? Someone to come in and ensure we don't go down or employ someone who is here longer term? I cannot tell. Cooper was fired because of the lack or relationship with the fans and probably players too. It has to be someone capable of creating a 'connection'. Would Carrick better than this than, let's say Moyes??

Meh

He's done a fairly solid job at Middlesbrough, not my number one choice but he would be better than the likes of Ruud Van Nisterooy and Corberan imo.

He's a young manager, I would prefer someone more experienced but he does play football the right way albeit at a league lower than us.

Playing football the right way can go whistle whatever that means - its about a way of playing that gives us some identity and gets results to keep us up that is all that matters - Cooper was clueless we had no organisation, identity or tactics .......BUT forget playing tippy tappy get us some intensity, tactics and results ......

I'd love to know what Potter is holding out for. Been out of work for a year and a half, the England job is no longer available and he's not getting a top Premier League job. I know we're not great at the minute but if he can keep us up this season, then suddenly the club is a decent prospect again.

West ham is my guess.

If we don’t announce this tomorrow then I’m completely done with the ownership. Removing your coaching staff and manger whilst you’re still playing for three points in six days time is ridiculous unless you’ve got someone to step straight in.
I don’t care how crap cooper is, he’s still better than no one and anyone thinking that is deluded.

This is why thousands feels so detached and miffed with football and our club.

We are ran by complete moby’s.

I wouldn't be averse to Carrick although I imagine he'd want the chance to take Boro up

Risky for us but could also be a masterstroke.

Similar age to Maresca which surprised me.
