Cooper might be shit

but he had experience keeping up a shit squad.

We got a manager that is basically telling the players, it’s ok to get thrashed every week because the opposition has more quality.
Maybe this Dutch bellend should watch a rerun of the league winning season when Claudio installed a fighting self belief into being the underdog.

To be honest most of this surrendering squad of softbolllox aren't fit to clean the boots of our title winning hero's and therein lies the problem.

Exactly, funny thing is we’re now looking for a cooper type manager to stop the goals going in

If you'd said a Dyche type manager, that statement might make sense. But Cooper was definitely not a manager to stop goals going in - he achieved one clean sheet for us, and that was against a Bournemouth team who rattled the woodwork multiple times and had a goal disallowed because Evanilson couldn't resist having a waft at a ball into the box which he didn't need to whilst offside. His defensive record at Forest was honking as well.

The anger against Cooper to get rid of him was completely over the top compared to the last ten games and still some people seem to want to stick with RvN ,

If only we had a crystal ball, eh?

Couldn't agree more. Ruud is a worse manager by far but don't forget he once scored some goals for Man U so needs time. Doesn't matter he's litetally setting records at being so pants.

Disagreeing with that , our defence looked organised although we had not much going forward. I wasn’t saying we didn’t let any goals in just we looked like we could defend but never score and Cooper was doomed from the start in my opinion because of the Forest connection, if big Sam came in and had the same results as cooper everyone would have let it go.

We all agree though that two terrible appointments have got us here and I just hope RVN is gone soon.

Cooper’s Forest connection has nothing whatsoever to do with how unpopular he became with the fans. It was the poor results, terrible tactics, total absence of identity, etc, that did that. And if Big Sam had come in and delivered the same results and performances, we’d have felt exactly the same way about him.

You say We like you Tallk for all fans , I could give you about 20 fans I know who could never get over the Forest love affair with Cooper. There’s lots of different opinions out there and some definitely had it in for cooper that’s a fact.

Regardless how many had this line of thought, it’s shortsighted and immature.

Turned out he was crap, but I think we were expecting that regardless of his previous work.

I don’t actually think Cooper is crap I just think he was a bad fit for us and was probably never going to work.
RVN again is a bad fit for us and what we need right now.

Whoever made the last two decisions needs to be kicked out.

Enzo back once he’s sacked ?

Yep get Maresca back, if just for the inverted full back and 2 number 8’s set up. Much better than the inverted right winger favoured by Cooper and now RVN. The latter set up needs a mythical super human wing back/right back hybrid and an opponent that has no left winger. Playing with an inverted right back might also discourage RVN from playing a snail paced winger like Ayew ir BDCR on the right and that has to be a good thing.

Going back to Cooper - I hope the club learn from the hideous selection of friendlies for next season. I still think the confidence in him was gone from the players from the manner in which we lost to a Serie B and Ligue 1 side.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that was the reason for all that followed but it sure as hell didn't help. Get Burton, Notts County, Northampton etc on there. They don't deserve to go anywhere else.

Nobody I knew gave a toss that he'd managed Forest in the past. Why would they, it's not as if O'Neil or Morgan got vilified for their previous connections.

If you gave us Nuno we would take him like a shot. Cooper's Premier League record is poor and the appointment made little sense. His last few games were truly dire and we were conceding plenty.

Both managers have offered very little. Just because we managed a couple of consolation goals and Hermansen kept several scores down doesn't mean we were significantly better.

Where were we then, where are we now?

1 point above the bottom 3, and 2 above 19th when Cooper was sacked, with all the easiest fixtures in the first half of the season already used up - with a difficult run of fixtures to come. At the time, Palace were second bottom with 8 points, they now have 33. So if we'd kept the hard done by Cooper, and he'd maintained the same form - we'd still be in the bottom 3, given the improvement of Palace (and Wolves, to a lesser extent).

Not sure why that is so difficult for people to understand. Also if Cooper were still here, we probably would have signed Ibrahim and Andre Ayew in January to play with their brother.

Was minus 8 now minus 34

If by conceding plenty you mean 6

in his last 3 games and scoring 2.

As opposed to RVN last 3 games

scored 0 conceded 10

It seems afterall we are not in a position to impose an identity. We just need some points. Now we are getting none.

I think part of the problem was that we had Maresca who was very stubborn with imposing his style and identity, and the players was stuck with that and did not trust Cooper from the start culminating in that weekend away with Winks holding on to that ‘Enzo we miss you’ sign. Who knows if Enzo stayed though - it is very different playing in the EPL compared to the Championship. In any event, given that, Cooper was doomed from the start without that trust from the beginning. But if not for individual players - Faes and Justin in particular making all sorts of defensive mistakes, we would have gotten more points under Cooper even though he has kept us above the relegation zone much of the time. And also, we looked like scoring in each game - we just couldn’t keep a clean sheet. And yes, at the time, we thought we could do even better than what Cooper was delivering. But oh boy none of us could have predicted that we have turned this bad - 6 home games without points and without goals. Really can’t be worst.
