About 4 months ago...when they sacked Cooper mate. Christ alive.

Guess where that got us? Nowhere. Sacking Ruud will do NOTHING, the players are horrific. He switches them out, it makes no difference as they've mentally checked out.

Didn’t it come out that Top was never keen on Cooper or something? So what I mean is RVN was Tops choice, sacking him now will mean he’s ballsed up.

Yeah you’re right sacking Ruud won’t change anything. I just don’t want this charlatan representing the club.

You say changing the players doesn’t do anything. Well change the ****ing system then.

He's going nowhere. We can't afford the pay off and whilst the Board are clueless, even they must recognise its way beyond saving at this point.

Can only see months/years of further pain sadly.

Anyone know if Top and Rudkin were at the game last night, if so maybe just maybe there has been a conversation with Ruud and an acceptance to agree to his previously offered resignation.

Not 100% but from mates there they think Rudkin was but Top wasn't.

Honestly don't believe PSR is the main issue in sacking him, although not ideal to sink more money. I'm lead to believe the honest reason he's still here is because they didn't expect him to be this bad and they are having a hard time coming to terms with it.

I know that Top stepped in before the spurs game and had a chat with him, heard from someone reliable that this happened, no idea what was said, my worry is they've promised him the summer, but since then I think its very clear everyone has completely given up so hopefully a bit of realism is hitting home.

The players want him out l, that’s obvious as well.

Most of them should be kicked out with him. It was embarrassing watching them trying to run.

I previously felt we should stick with him, but right now i have no idea what is going on. It's not that things 'aren't working'. It just appears nothing is happening.  This appointment has just fizzled out and it appears that nobody really cares and wants to stand up and do anything.  Its just flat - weird - odd.

I feel like if we score they will all just trott back to their positions and not even celebrate.

Ultimately I don’t think the squad is strong enough and he hasn’t been supported in the market

However I found it hard listening to Ruud being critical of players for lack of press and a passive approach when for so many weeks the line up has felt like damage limitation.

How can we not afford the pay off

I really thought he was going to be a no nonsense type who was a real motivator. The sort who helped you pick up points in games you don't necessarily deserve, but look at last nights response to the Brentford game! Even if we lost still you expect more fight, or more about us. It was pathetic.

This doesn't absolve RVN from giving up or being a bad manager, but this squad we have do not respond well to managers calling them out or disciplining them. Half of them think they are alot better than they are and they haven't responded well to Ruud trying to set a standard and demand more professionalism.

If you look at his comments after the QPR game he was saying players need to earn their spot etc. He has tried to improve their professionalism but when the big characters and earners have no interest in meeting him halfway it's a tough ask.

Like I say doesn't absolve him but we have a rotten squad with a rank attitude to the core. There are a couple of exceptions but most are rotting the club as much as the ownership.

Why didn’t we get Moyes? Look at Everton now.

Someone needs to pin this - Moyes was holding out for Everton and didn't want to join, Collomosse from the Daily Mail suggsted we approached him.

Whether we can afford the pay off or not - surely he's not the right man for next season anyhow?

There's no point in appointing a permanent manager now - they'll be tainted by this relegation before next season's promotion attempt.

So it's either RVN to the end or some interim/fall guy in the meantime.

I've seen some bad teams at the London Stadium (usually our own), but that Leicester team may have been the worst. I'd say we didn't get out of second gear and still won comfortably, but to be honest I'm not even sure we got out of first gear!

I'm not sure how anyone could watch that performance and say Cooper was the problem. Didn't understand the sacking at the time and still don't.

Someone should tell Ruud, he hasn't quite figured out the 2nd half "improvement" was because the game was done and West Ham were just coasting and the fact anything would of been an improvement on the 1st half.

To your first point, yeah I don't believe Top wanted him but Rudkin did. By sacking him they admitted it was a mistake by proxy. Yeah change the system for sure, I agree with that but fundamentally these lot are tripe.

Hasn't he worked out that by the second half the opposition have already won the game so don't get out of second gear. Same with Brentford last week, they could have scored more if they wanted to.

It doesn't matter - the same points about Moyes and Potter will still be made ad infinitum.

They knew exactly how clueless the owner is, how inept and negligent the board is, that we've got a tracksuit-clad stable master as a DoF and a squad full of third-rate dross.

It couldn't be more obvious to people in football circles what a mess this club is. The only option we had was someone desperate for a chance and he's turned out to be fvcking useless n'all.

Still, dont understand why we didn't go for Moyes. Madness.

Clinging on to the fact we didn’t concede but the man’s team has scored 9 in 14 and 5 of them came in the first 2 games.

so 4 goals scored in his last 12

So we are hoping that he eventually resigns as it will be harming his future career.

Agree.

Separately, don't get why so many fans were unhappy with the thought of Moyes in the first place, even though he wouldn't come. We needed to stabilise, and if that meant pragmatism in the short-term, then we had to do it. If that pisses off the likes of Winks, then get them out.

He didn't want to come here

I think people need a reality check of who we're going to be able to attract now thanks to Rudkin and King Power's mismanagement.

People were asking why Potter didn't want to come here, pretty obvious now isn't it. Maybe our reputation within footballing circles is even worse than we think it is.
