Him walking maybe the best thing that could happen. If they bring in an experienced manager I'd expect you to pick up points.

not happening, it's the most braindead take that's so pervasive among football fans. The reason things were so shit under Cooper is, firstly because he's a shit manager, but also because his style of play does not work for the squad we've assembled. It'd be even worse under Dyche or another 90s throwback because this squad is built around Enzos style, it's built for high counter pressing and maintaining possession in front of low blocks. If RvN walks and we get "an experienced manager", we go down sub 20 points. The only way we stay up if he walks is if we look to the continent or further aboard for an Iraola type manager who plays the style of football this squad has been built for and wants to chance themselves at the PL.

He might as he’s local I rate him higher than Cooper he’s on par with RVN for me but might be able to get more output from this current set up it won’t be Pretty mind you but hopefully keeps us up.

On what evidence do you have dyche the same as rvn? Dyche is a better manger surly?

90s throwback is harsh on Dyche.

His teams press better than he gets credit for, they counterpress high before settling back into a lower block. There are smatterings of Enzo's squad but it's a disparately assembled team.

Based on his previous ones I don’t think he will say much different to usual about transfers in his press conference tomorrow

Unless he has finally “snapped” and is fed up…

I wouldn't want to live anywhere near Nottingham either

Rudkin must be absolutely perplexed by this situation. Ruud had an impressive playing career & had great aura. What else would we possibly need in order to avoid relegation?

You've got to feel for the Rudster.

Not many managers walk into a team that lost 5 of their last 6. Picks up 4 points then loses his best player and the man that's contributed to most undeserved points.

Let's not make out he's losing games where we're the favourites.

The only 2 teams that are non established premier league teams who have (dabateably) worse squads than us are Southampton and Ipswich.

Cooper managed to spend £40-50m and start this season with a weaker first 11 than the one that finished the Championship season lol

Had our "world class finisher" been able to score some absolute sitters then we're probably sat here on a few more points as well.

Realistically Ruud has got things wrong, but people looking at this so black and white are the same people that refused to hear any negatives about Rodgers.

"top 5" "FA cup"

Result driven opinions are pointless, they'll change so frequently there's no point even saying anything.

Where you saying the same about Vardy when he was missing sitters under Cooper? The one against Spurs and a couple v Villa spring instantly  to mind

The club chose Enzo because he likes to play a certain way. Then he left and we went with Cooper (apparently against Top's better judgment), whose teams play in a very different way. That didn't work so we went back to an Enzo-style appointment in RVN because his style of play would be more suited to the squad. Now that isn't working, will the club to pivot back to a manager who has more in common with Cooper than Maresca? I just can't see Top going for it. And I suspect Dyche would probably steer clear of our shit show anyway...

There is no logic or process to our appointments, it's just who is available basically, Rodgers is the only manager we've ever poached.

Dyche can just wait it out until somebody panics next season. I can see him at Leeds when Farke does what he always does.

Do managers ever walk away?

Yes, this said manager did from PSV 2 years ago.

It happens frequently in countries where they aren't sat on millions if they bide their time and get sacked instead. Fairly rare in the PL obviously.

What’s laughable is any **** thinking a change in manager will mean a change in our fortune. This club is ****ed. Proper ****ed. Not only do we have an absolute shower of shit in the playing squad. Those in charge keep making bad financial decisions and keep mortgaging our future to maintain the status quo.

I'd imagine a fair few 'mutual consents' are clubs saving face when a manager has had enough.

In this instance, if Ruud did walk he'd have the perfect reason for it and if the club came out stating it was mutual or they'd sacked him instead they don't look good either way. They've either hired the wrong person and sacked him after a handful of games, or they've quite clearly used the mutual line when we all know the truth about his frustrations with what and who he's working with.

This is bang on. For starters, Ruud out now would mean captain speedy and his fax machine would have to start working on a new manager search to go with all the transfer business he's already not doing, so you are looking at at least 1, if not 2 games with the caretaker team that brought us the 4-1 battering away at Brentford.

Then, after a long and exhaustive search involving ringing the few football agents they actually get in with, it's #WelcomeBrussell

There’s absolutely no way our defence can play #Dycheball. He relies on strong and fit shithouses at the back, immense in the air and brutal in the tackle. We’ve not got anything like that, Vesty can’t head the ball or run, Faes thinks he’s Franz Beckenbauer. Coady’s strength is on and off field rapid-fire banter only and Okoli is clearly a PSR casualty and probably not up to it. If RVN leaves then going for Dyche isn’t going to stop us going down, but it will mean we play awful football in The Championship.

And all this happened after sacking Mike Stowell. How could we have done any more?

I smell an internal review between the Rudster, Big Suze & Top. We've got it sorted.

Me too. I was just about to post that. If not the torches at this club will continue to bury their heads.
