I am intrigued who he will bring in, I would imagine he would like to get them in in the coming weeks ahead of the January transfer window. Rene Meulensteen would be ideal.

Have you applied yet Rene?

I'm hoping that he tries going back to a few basics. If you are a defender, just concentrate on defending.

A bit of a throw back to Huth and Simpson days.

Do one job well and then we'll look at adding a few extras.

And, only pass the ball to someone wearing the same colour shirt.

yep give that a try for once lads

That is odd. Maybe they've been briefed that some folk are on their way in, but can't announce it yet? Surely they must be on their way—he currently doesn't have a coaching team!

Isn’t there an embargoed bit within the pressers. Probably asked in that bit

You'd like to think Owen Palmer Moore_94 would still share it with us....

Let's go nuts and just push Vestegaard into midfield as a libero.

Justin, Okoli and Kristiansen can't defend for shit, but fast enough to keep us up high and as far away from our own box as possible.

I really ****ing hope Ruud isn't thinking of doing the same here with VK being his PVA. VK can't do it and it hobbles Mavididi if we take away his width and expecting him to cut in. Would much rather put a RB on attacking duties and let Facundo cut in ahead of them, especially with Fatawu out injured now anyway.

I think this is how it'll happen.

Off the ball;

GK

RB CB CB LB

RW CM CM LW

AM

ST

On the ball;

GK

CM CM LB

CM CM

RB RW AM LW

ST

More tactical insight in one press conference than in Cooper’s entire time here. Always found it strange how he avoided responding to any questions about his style of play or tactical philosophy.

I’m expecting a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 turning into a 3-2-4-1 when in possession, exactly what he did at PSV in the second half of the season.

Hermansen

Justin - Okoli - Vestergaard - Kristiansen

Skipp - Ndidi

Buonanotte - El Khannouss - Mavididi

Vardy

Turning into this when in possession…

Hermansen

Faes/Okoli - Vestergaard - Kristiansen

Skipp - Ndidi

Justin - Buonanotte - El Khannouss - Mavididi

Vardy

If not the above, then we could well see the inverted full-back into midfield again, something like this…

Hermansen

Choudhury - Faes/Okoli - Vestergaard - Kristiansen/Justin

Skipp - Ndidi/Soumare

Buonanotte - El Khannouss - Mavididi

Vardy

Turning into this when in possession…

Hermansen

Faes/Okoli - Vestergaard - Kristiansen/Justin

Choudhury - Skipp

Buonanotte - El Khannouss - Ndidi/Soumare - Mavididi

Vardy

Whatever the formation, we’re going to be left with a few problematic positions that require urgent attention in January.

Great reporting BBC, but I could be wrong but that looks more like Caballero!

Didn't Chelsea's announcement welcoming Enzo have a picture of Willy as well or am I thinking of another social account? (like SkySports or someone)

"I spoke to Enzo after Chelsea"

.... on the 3rd of November lol

Blimey that's going to sting for Cooper.

It was rumoured from around then wasn’t it so if the players wanted him gone (which we know they did) they knew a bad performance would get them what they wanted.

Cooper would have also heard this I’m guessing.

Got to be shocked we were so shit for a few weeks.

So what were they trying to achieve on Saturday? To prevent Dawson from being invited to join RVN's coaching staff? To get back at Top because he told them off about their party in Copenhagen?!

**** me 4-4-2 oop, 3-4-3 ip

For the first time this season, a coach with an actual tactical plan

And one who has experience putting that plan into action. You see many managers try to replicate the style / tactics of other managers and fail badly. 3 I can think of are Cooper, Gerrard and Lampard, which is a damning indictment of managers in England and ultimately why having Tuchel as England boss was by far the best appointment possible.

Somehow scrape out a win here. Ruud is the messiah.. then get battered by Brighton

I watch Brighton against Southampton, they were pretty awful or Saints somehow made them look that way.

Brighton seem to struggle against teams that play a similar style to them.

They also seemed to struggle against Dyche type style, bit of a soft underbelly like we did under Rodgers.

Tbh I know Southampton aren't picking up many points but they look much better than us lately.

I'm hoping between these two games and Wolves before Xmas we can get six points somehow.. worst case 4. I just don't see it

Need to cling on until January when hopefully there's room in the cheque book for Ruud to work his magic in the market

4-4-2 ? Gwon Ruud, LCFC will play 4-4 ****ing 2!

I'm struggling to think which one of the number 8s/10 will join Vardy in the press. Rather Ndidi doesn't go roaming that high, Buonanotte could but would've thought he'll play on the right.

Be interesting to see who RVN instructs to go higher tomorrow.

Which is partly because they have a set style of play and an actual identity. It’s their individual quality that’s letting them down.
