HankMarvin Posted 6 December 2024 Posted 6 December 2024 (edited) Van Nistelrooy set to raid Man Utd for wonderkid with ‘freakish’ training stats as he targets Leicester loan transfer The player has been tipped to emulate Mainoo Alex Smith, Sports Reporter Updated: 13:39, 6 Dec 2024 RUUD VAN NISTELROOY is set to raid his former club Manchester United to improve his Leicester City squad. The Dutchman made a dream start to life at the King Power by leading the Foxes to a 3-1 win over West Ham on Tuesday night. SunSport has learned the ex-Man Utd interim is planning to use his contacts at Old Trafford to sign starlet Toby Collyer. Van Nistelrooy is set to make a loan bid for the 20-year-old midfielder. The new Leicester boss believes he could be a key asset in their battle to avoid the drop. He worked closely with Collyer during his time as assistant to Erik ten Hag. The highly-rated youngster has produced "freakish" running stats in training that can only be bettered by Bruno Fernandes. United have no interest in selling Collyer, who joined the club's academy two years ago from Brighton. But they could be open-minded to a loan move, especially to a manager who they know will give him opportunities in the first-team. FOOTBALL FREE BETS AND SIGN UP DEALS Collyer made his senior debut in the Community Shield defeat to Manchester City in August. He has since featured twice, including as half-time sub for Casemiro as United were beaten 3-0 by Liverpool in the Premier League. Pundit Steve Sidwell has tipped Collyer to be a "shining star just like Kobbie Mainoo". Edited 6 December 2024 by HankMarvin

Popular Post jonthefox Posted 6 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 6 December 2024 Any relation to Toby carvery? 7
Popular Post JimJams Posted 6 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 6 December 2024 Seems a waste of a loan spot unless the lad with a single senior appearance is good enough to start for us. 5
The Doctor Posted 6 December 2024 Posted 6 December 2024 Love a good Toby Collyer this time of year, roast dinner and usually better starters as well. 1
fox_up_north Posted 6 December 2024 Posted 6 December 2024 Haha. For a second there, I thought I read that RVN is going to approach a loan for an unknown Man United kid midfielder when he's clearly looking at the back line. Oh. 1
Filberts lovechild Posted 7 December 2024 Posted 7 December 2024 A defensive mid, is that really what we need?

st albans fox Posted 7 December 2024 Posted 7 December 2024 I’m sure winks and skipp will be delighted to read this ……..

Winks is good on the ball but not good enough defensively. Skipp is ok on the ball and ok defensively but if you add it all up you dont get a PL level player. Ndidi is good defensively and bad on the ball. If this lad is both good on the ball and good defensively then he's worth picking up, a well rounded DM would do wonders for this team. 2

If this guy sits somewhere between Casemiro and Winks/Skipp then he's worth looking at.

lcfc_forever Posted 13 January 2025 Posted 13 January 2025 (edited) Didn’t watch the match yesterday but Man U fans were impressed with his performance. Edited 13 January 2025 by lcfc_forever 1

coolhandfox Posted 13 January 2025 Posted 13 January 2025 I would take him on loan with a option if we could shift Edouard back. Looks a player.
volpeazzurro Posted 14 January 2025 Posted 14 January 2025 (edited) I just read Toby Carvery and thought of prawn cocktail and T bone steak followed by Black Forest gateau. Edited 14 January 2025 by volpeazzurro 3
lcfc_forever Posted 15 January 2025 Posted 15 January 2025 Looks like this won’t happen, even if we had a spare domestic loan spot:
FrankieADZ Posted 16 January 2025 Posted 16 January 2025 come on for Utd tonight, looks decent so far
Clever Fox Posted 21 January 2025 Posted 21 January 2025 These are the type of signings we should have been maaking in the Summer. I hope we can make this happen. 1
