The problem is, Whelan and Rudkin aren’t going anywhere unless King Power do.

If all that happens is that they get new people in around them, it will ultimately still be the same people setting the direction and making the big decisions. The problems are too deep and too broad across the entire football club to be solved easily.

I’m happy for King Power to stay, but only if the current board are removed and a new day-to-day chairman or COO is found. We need a full reset.

Yep, which is why people are calling Top out now, if Top stays, both of them stay.

We just need a fresh start. I've had enough of this "be careful what you wish for" attitude about the club. They have nothing about them when it comes to running a football club and the incompetence they've shown so far is unforgivable

This thread needs to be pinned to the top , please sell up, anybody would be remotely better than these clowns.

Except those of us who can look back well beyond 2010 know this is not true.

Who would want to buy a club in major decline with financial problems.

I still think we’d be an attractive buy for some. World class facilities and large fan base. Unfortunately I don’t know many millionaires so can’t help with who.

I imagine quite a lot of people. Who would have wanted to purchase Everton? We’re still a club and an entity in our own right….. someone might want to out the wheels back on…… any large consortium would consider purchasing a former PL champion, and a significant one at that, to boost their profile…..

Thats the best time to buy, as it lowers the value, however KP would want a kings ransom, and Seagrave would be a mandatory part of the package adding circa 100 million.  So we wont be an attractive club to buy.

Financial issues seem mainly centred around idiotic contracts so hopefully would be cleared up as they expire/cancelled.  I wouldnt be surprised if dodgy accounting is uncovered by some future owner, as its in the owners interest possibly for the club to make losses.

Also I love the double standards of the club, when selling out there desperately emailing me to sell my season ticket seat so a tourist can replace me but now the tides have since turned there desperate for me to purchase extra tickets for local friends and family now  it’s all gone to sh1t!

Because there’s an angle of opportunity with any transaction, why do failed businesses get bought out of administration?

A new owner doesn’t really have much initial capex investment either - training ground is there and the stadium expansion can be kicked into the long grass.

Leicester city ownership

  • High wages to average players
  • Not able to move high wage players on
  • Poor recruitment
  • Lack of communication
  • Lack of interest from the owner
  • Banning fans for next to nothing
  • Their attitude to UFS
  • Refusal to work with groups to really help match day atmosphere
  • Appointment of Steve cooper and Ruud van nistelrooy
  • Lack of pride in the club for past history (previous land of Filbert street for example)
  • Inside look of the ground
  • Clappers & honesty flags
  • Dodgy betting sponsor on shirt
  • No change to boardroom structure after relegation
  • Not sacking Rodgers earlier
  • Then leaving it up to Sadler and stowel and blowing two home games straight after
  • Both the sacking of rodgers and cooper came 1 game after international break
  • Top making footballing decisions (not a football person)
  • £25 season card charge
  • £10 to watch friendly online
  • Too much focus on being a “family club” pushing other age groups out.
  • Overseeing the biggest disconnect between fans and club arguably ever
  • Multiple threats of points deductions
  • Poor financial mismanagement with PSR
  • lowest spenders in the premier league for the last 5 years and still constantly sail close to PSR line
  • desperately needing to strengthen in January but the clubs past mistakes resulting in us being unable to.

Careful what you wish for though.

Don’t forget his complete lack of negotiating skills and how Whelan had to be involved with the Maguire transfer (likely others too).

Imagine not being able to do the main part of your 🤯

(Below from the Daily Mail at the time of the Maguire transfer)

Trouble is  as the years pass , people  are less bothered as Blackburn found out .So with the 10 yr  mark coming up don't want to  leave it  too long.

But we’re entitled apparently

Giving this a bump as the players and Ruud are getting the hate tonight, which they deserve due to the lack of effort, but the core of the issue is the ownership and the board.

They've built this squad and appointed the managers. They are the reason that we are in this situation.

I know, I'm sure there's some kind of loyalty that will stop him selling, but he'd be better off selling as he's ruining his legacy
