Part of me thinks now, the complete silence means they are planning an exit strategy and Rudkin/Wheelan will step down in the summer. You never know.

Why do this to yourself?

I don’t know if anyone (RVN aside) will go but it does feel different to last time. Last time they came straight out with the guff about a review and realised that most would buy it. Let’s be honest there wasn’t much or at all pressure on Top at that point. It was all directed towards Rodgers and a bit at Rudkin.

This time the relegation is a really humiliating one, not just a shock to the outside world. The media are asking questions, there’s been the beginnings of discontent from sections of supporters.

It does feel that they are realising they can’t just brush it under the carpet and fob everyone off this time. Whether it leads to anything meaningful I don’t know.

Seriously put the club up for sale at this point. The whole thing is toxic. We need new owners, new coaches, new players. We're on our arse and have been for a long time. I don't see it happening but think that's the only way we get back to being taken seriously again. Right now we are just a joke club.

The club needs to be sold, a refresh is needed on and off the pitch.

Surely we are an attractive prospect to new ownership?

Club, Stadium, Belvoir drive and Seagrave.

350-500million?

Someone please buy Top out, he’s so out of his depth.

Why would you pay that when you could get a similar sizes club like Cov , Sheff Wednesday or Derby for a fraction of that amount?

I would say there is zero chance of anyone buying us, the training ground costs millions to service and we have a squad of over paid crap players. who are a liability to anyone buying the club.

This, I think in this situation our facilities actually hold us back from a buyout. We have probably top 10 facilities in world football, but we have a squad full of deadwood bleeding money, and we are one bad window away from being in serious trouble on and off the pitch.
We have to face it really. The only likely way we get bought out is if we get promoted, if fans want to reset and rebuild and potentially not get promoted next year to balance the books and lower the wage budget, that will likely be under KP. The only way I could see us getting bought out in the Championship is by one of the big Middle Eastern companies/wealth funds, they are the only ones who can afford that sort of investment for a bloated Championship club in complete disarray.

We would be attractive to savvy buyers because Top’s mismanagement has created some alpha in us an investment.

- Big(ish) fanbase, ground ripe for expansion and planning secured

- Bigger name relative to Bournemouth, Forest, Fulham, Brighton, Palace etc

to due to 2016(-2021)

- Seagrave

- Productive academy, Barnes, Chilwell, KDH c. £120m alone

- Central location, ~ an hour to London

The outstanding liabilities (Sounds like Top, Rudkin, Whelan wahey) would knock the purchase price down too.

Southampton were worth £125m ish in January 2022, we’d be more valuable than that anyway but you’re essentially buying a midtable PL club for a yo-yo price.

If Top (or the family) are wavering on us as asset, sell now before our value diminishes further through his incompetence

To investors in general as well because you're buying stakes cheaper as we're currently not a PL club but chances are we bounce back up anyway and they immediately see growth!

For better or worse, we'll be there or there abouts next year because the Championship is dross.

The sticking point was Top's mother re not selling the club, but hopefully now due to our relegation the family may call it a day and sell the club this summer, which would be most welcome!

We are not similar sized to those clubs anymore.

Nobody can deny the change the club underwent when Vichai and King Power took over, no long standing fan would have ever imagined what happened since then after all the years of dreams, even out shining the fabulous O Neil years, it has been exciting times, even with the two depressing relegation's.

But now it may be time to move on, it could be better, it could be worse, you have to be certain what you with for, but nothing could be worse than the 80/90s until Mon came along, so let see what the future holds, I think a change would be worth the gamble.

If there is no change there has to be change within the club.

A couple of months ago I was prepared to give King Power a chance to sort this out, move Rudkin aside and rebuild the non-playing staff. The utter malaise that has set in since our relegation was confirmed over a week ago has convinced me we need new ownership.

Worse than making bad decisions, they now seem incapable of making any decision at all. Communication is non existant and connection with the fanbase has eroded. The club is sliding towards utter irrelevance without urgent change.

Just my thoughts/opinion but If we are ‘sold’ it will most likely to be another Thai business / owner, I have a sneaky feeling that Top and King Power are more like custodians of the club and we are effectively owned by Thailand, therefore we will be ‘passed’ over to the next custodian to control us on their behalf.

How utterly revolting.

Not saying I am right just my opinion.

Yeah I know, I share the same thoughts. These lot can't just give it up now. Not because of just emotional ties, more so now that they use our place to entertain Thai society and political bigwigs.

I'd absolutely be willing to give them a chance to turn this around, if I had any faith in them making the right decisions - which I do not.

It's become abundantly clear from hearing from those connected to the club during this astonishing decline that Aiyawatt is pretty much solely responsible for major decisions. Anyone who excelled in their field is long gone and instead of replacing them, he's surrounded himself with enablers like Rudkin.

There won't be wholesale changes at board level. It's likely any investor will just be for financial reasons and won't have any meaningful impact in terms of the direction of the club.

This is why the decline doesn't stop here.

I suspect this is the case and if it's proven, either by fresh investment or a full sale to another Thai billionaire, then I'm done.

And the other half is ?

Them all laughing at us and staying completely the same way that they have been for the last few years, but you hang in there Gazza you may be right well about 0.0000000000000000001% right 😉

I thought that when we’ve been dished up all the visit Thailand promos and giveaways of Thai food etc, let’s hope the next custodian likes to promote a failing team into a new Top 6 club who knows?
