The club seem to score own goal after own goal. I don't know about anyone else but i don't feel like going to the game knowing what they've done. what is it with this young thai girl with liitle experience running our club? how can anyone support our owners, best thing we can hope for is a flukey promotion and we become an attractive proposition. it really is a handbook of how to destroy a legacy as quickly as possible

A lot of people seemed to think Susan Whelan going was a victory.

I dunno, I think some people are unsure who's to blame, most blame Rudkin rather than Whelan, but Vardy's statement confirmed to us all it was bad news

Every time something like this happens the official line is that it’s a ‘mistake’ and it always turns out to be some much more serious financial issue.

Either way, horrible club.

I've no idea why a single person still gives them any benefit of the doubt. They should be assumed to have done wrong until proven otherwise with their appalling track record.

Easy to brand something a mistake in business.

It is still bad PR and another hit to the already poor reputation either way.

What I don’t get is why they’ve chosen to do this.

Even from a cash flow point of view, it’s somewhat odd. I’d have thought we would have delayed suppliers first before internal staff.

Yet, we have heard nothing on that front.

Which makes me think this is just a naively thought out change in process.

I am going to assume at this point that the new CEO is going to be the face of getting the horrible stuff done that Whelan opposed.

Some of this lands at the feet of whoever runs HR these days as well.

Struggling to make payroll.  Not good.

If things were to melt down then this is how it would start.

My own concern is that kingpower has much bigger issues than leicester city.  So the club is in top's hands and we know he has poor advisors...

The KPFC fans have by and largely been very quiet on Facebook since this news broke.

I don’t expect that to be a permanent thing but potentially the penny has dropped for some of them

People wanted Whelan out for no reason other than they wanted someone to blame for what's happened to the team. The old adage of 'careful what you wish for' seems to have been forgotten.

It's clearly nothing to do with cash flow. As you say it's just a change in process with no appreciation of timing. Cock up rather than conspiracy.

I might’ve tagged Linda in a post on Leicester ‘Undivided’ asking her if her daughter still works at the TO and whether or not she backs KP decision not to pay her on the date initially agreed 🙃

But generally speaking, in any post on any platform, the defence of the club has basically been limited to ‘other companies do this’ but even these seem to be few and far between. A few didn’t believe it at all, but that was before Percy reported it in the DT.

Can't believe some (minority) on here and on X seem to now be suggesting that this decision was a good thing because it means people won't need to budget as strictly for the 6weeks between now and the end of Januarylol... Incredible mental gymnastics that!!!

Presumably you'll have him on your show on Sunday. Is Graham handing out clown 🤡 emojis?

Seems quite weird that someone at King Power pushed this through when our interim managing director, who is also from King Power, wanted to stop it

Had to have been someone high up?

They getting really fed up with what Top is doing with us and having to get more involved?

He needs to grow 3 heads if he wants to wear 3 different hats at the same time.

The one who wrote this…is this the one who has been nothing more than a project manager before?

Yup, our very own “supply chain expert” interim MD

I’d be amazed if “Monica” who’s previous experience seems to be as a call centre manager has the faintest idea about the UK’s payroll systems

Which is why it’s plausible she is in charge of Leicester City FCs payroll.

The more I think about this the more it just does not add up. If it’s a cash flow problem would we be really entertaining signing Antonio as this could be a further financial commitment of say £40k per month, I also don’t buy the payroll admin cock up excuse or aligning with King Power payroll.

The more I think about it, this has been a conscious decision taken, including the late notification, and makes me more suspicious that as part of “Monika’s” role there is/will be a very significant restructuring of the clubs off field organisation which include a downsizing.

What perfect way to start that process than piss off the majority of the staff by not honouring early payment of December salary and giving people only 7 hours notice, nothing screams you are completely unappreciated and undervalued more than being treated in this manner at Christmas time.

I honestly believe this was a cold, calculated decision taken in advance of implementing some fairly significant cost cutting plans in the new year.

It is absolutely boiling my piss how the club has treated the non playing employees, I am disgusted and ashamed.

Companies don't change payroll with 24hrs notice unless it's to ease an impending crisis.

Everywhere I've worked I've know a year in advance we would be paid early before Xmas, whatever the reasons are for changing  it's a fcuking disgrace by King Power.

Makes me wonder, this is a massive communication cock up. They would have known about this, with at least a month in advance, but nobody told the staff this and hence the last minute communication. Also, you just can’t change a payroll run, last minute, payroll company would need notice to make these changes. I read somewhere on Percy article that the club will support staff, how I don’t know!!!!

It’s hard not to think it’s about cash-flow with everything else that’s going on with us money-wise. I wouldn’t trust this lot with a fiver.

Thinking about what people have said about budgeting better. It’s not really the point, is it?
