Presumably you'll have him on your show on Sunday. Is Graham handing out clown 🤡 emojis?

yes he will be there. I wouldn't ban people from chatting about Leicester just because they think differently from me! I'm sure theres other channels out there that would do that though!

If he does try to make excuses for the club tomorrow, he will get lit up!

There is a possible explanation that this is a cock up

Perhaps one of the things that Susan took care of was to sort December payroll date adjustment.
if that is the case then expect other stuff to happen/not happen which pees you off

Pretty much the only straw I could find

This is a terrible decision and dreadful PR for the club.

Can anyone confirm if the players are also getting their pay late?  If they were I'd guess we would have heard about this pretty quickly.

I wonder what percentage of the wage costs are taken up by the non footballing staff in comparison to the players etc. If there is a real cash flow crisis then I'd be expecting the player's wages to be delayed too.

Just another stinking decision by a club that appears to be run by idiots.

Companies don't change payroll with 24hrs notice unless it's to ease an impending crisis.

Everywhere I've worked I've know a year in advance we would be paid early before Xmas, whatever the reasons are for changing  it's a fcuking disgrace by King Power.

think people are underestimating what those empty seats are doing to the club

Sorry that our channel doesn't only have people on that think the same way as you :kissing:

Like that isn't a big deal? We're a 'family club', but f**k the families that work for us...

Reads a bit; 'other than the crimes against children Saville was a pretty good and charitable person'.

???

I'm not defending the club. I'm just saying it isn't necessarily an indication of financial disaster.

If that’s the case, hopefully the less people that turn up puts more stress and strain on Top to sell up

it’s not going to happen. He has too much invested into the club to accept a championship price for us.

And I’m not saying people are wrong for not going, but what’s  going to happen, however is we will be selling and picking up injured old pros for free in January instead of purchasing players.

I don't think KP give a shite about empty seats.

I base this by looking at the commercial team. How many sponsors and partners have we got? I mean away from the usual Thai lot, the supposed betting or trading businesses and the odd syndicated deal, brokered by the EFL or by an agency.

Compare the local business engagement that Tigers or even County have. KP don't like anything or anyone near them. As a further example of keeping everyone at arm's length, how often does our strange little man have a guest sitting with him?

I recently spoke to a chap who is directly affected by this. Payroll dates were apparently all over the place, so it made sense to unify them. He was very annoyed that they were given one day notice of the change. He also reckoned that Christmas is not a big holiday in Thailand, hence King Power was not fully aware of the ramifications.

Whilst I don’t agree with everything Graham says, what I will say is his opinions are always very well articulated, I appreciate he does rattle a good few of us with his clown emojis but all in all he is a Leicester fan who cares deeply for the club and due to his experiences and interactions with the club has a different opinion to many.

I agree, but that’s what a chap who works there told me.

As I understand it, the early December payment has been in place for at least a decade, there is no way they don’t realise the ramifications of this decision.

Following Whelan leaving, are there any other indicators that King Power are taking a closer look at the day to day running of the the club?

I've slept on this one a bit, other than to reply to breach of contract claims. But i've worked for a few business who have large parent companies.

Ultimately, business owners don't give a ***k about Subsidiary companies unless they are bringing something substantial to them, and they certainly don't care about Subsidiary employees. This is even worse from foreign owned business (my main dealings are with Americans).  From what i have heard,  I genuinely think Top has tried to look after staff over the years and certainly since the first relegation. I presume with Whelan going, Top's grip on how to run things might well be largely losened. It's very possible that a decision like this has been made and he (and Monica?) have had to accept it. I would also presume the Whelan was someone who would fight passionately for what she thought was right,  but that person is no longer there.

Maybe (and i mean maybe) we are starting to see part of the process of the group taking control of the costs of the business. Sadly, players are largely untouchable due to their contracts, so its the little people who come first.

A gesture like this is a bit like Amazon demanding all employees back to the office 5 days a week out of the blue with little notice (this happened this year - i know a lot of people in the industry), even though they had previously been told their existing agreements with flexibility was safe. The 'gesture' is to remind you who is in control, and that your well being isn't the top priority - the welfare of the business is the no 1 priority. The parent company (like Amazon) will be thinking that only those who really care about the business will stay, and most others who may be disgruntled are replaceable.  With Amazon, the 5 days back to office Gesture was followed up with mass mandatory redundancies when not enough people left of their own accord.

King Power isnt Amazon - its a company with no links to the UK fighting for its own survival.

Big business is harsh and i've sat in enough board rooms to know that 'family values' aren't top if their list of priorities. A decision like this will be made with an outcome in mind. Big, big losses being made at the club dont give the little people much wriggle room. I have a friend who worked at Southampton and her (along with many others) were laid off immediately following their relegation a few seasons ago. I was surprised when we didnt see the same at Leicester.

It would be financially disastrous to sell the Club while we are a mid table Championship club.. King Power would have to be in very very serious trouble !!

Hopefully them empty seats are doing exactly as expected, forcing this useless owner and his board to sell up!

Edit just read your earlier response regarding this but saw it after id posted

Something like this is the only other thing that sort of makes sense if it's not an error. Cause they gained nothing from doing this. Especially the way they did it. They're only really paying their staff 5 working days later so I doubt it's cashflow. I can sort of understand aligning payroll dates, but you have to give people enough notice.

It does scream how badly King Power is run as a company. Some clueless clown in Thailand has made a decision not fully understanding the ramifications. Then if people have complained, they weren't important enough to be listened to. I genuinely don't think this happens if Susan Whelan is still in place. This is what happens in badly run companies: the people who speak up slowly start to leave and are replaced by weaker employees or sycophants.

As someone else said foreign companies treat their employees very differently. You're just seen as a replaceable number. Especially if you're low down on the rung.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the large swathes of empty seats from the last few home games and the associated drop in revenue from general sale tickets and from food, drink and merch sales are offered up as a contributing factor.

We’re soooo far off becoming a premier league club again, unless he is delusional as to where we are (which wouldn’t surprise me) then it’s going to be a long time till he sells - but fans can’t keep turning up to games just to play along.

I’d like to think that once our books are in a healthier position then he’d look to sell us 🙏

Potential new owners need to know that they can come in and begin to make an impact with investment, we still have the royalties of being a premier league champion, large training ground and potentially at this point, an opportunity to put fresh plans into investing into the ground.

I could be wrong and he could just not give a s**t and have any form of understanding or care which tbh wouldn’t surprise me at all
