You have to remember as well that Aiyawatt has born that culture of bad eggs as well.

He took them all away to Monte Carlo post-Championship win, some of them have a direct line into him and he's often taken to closed dinner parties etc. Vichai was the same, I suppose the difference was that you had a number of players what realised that wasn't to take piss out of.

I'd forgotten but there was a similar incident in Bruges with Vichai. Sold our soul as a club and now dealing with the outcome.

Vichai also did it in Madrid at the Plaza mayor, surrounded by his bouncers mind.

Plenty called that out at the time as being weird as ****, but of course we were just shouted down.

Including Henry Winter as I recall.

Add the use of clappers to that as well.

When you look at him walking around in Eindhoven and especially the laughable Championship bus parade - it's always been about him and his family or King Power.

Listening to him on them recent interviews, he fully believes we should worship him and be thankful for creating the club. He sees no Leicester City before he arrived.

We have merchandise with King Power on for ****s sake.

The weirdest thing is I used to almost ignore this shit for years. The way they managed to create a fanbase for themselves as well as the club must be unprecedented. I can't think of any other owners who have managed it. Especially when it's completely unjustified. Maybe Jack Walker at Blackburn but he literally bank rolled them to that title.

All the stuff with parading the trophy, picture of the king of Thailand etc... we wouldn't even be bringing that up if it hasn't have turned into what it has now. Could be they were proud of what had happened.

Also I know what people a saying as it maybe was a sign of what was to come.

Everything is very very strange now, it jut needs a massive change.

It was weird. Remember it dampening the celebrations and it feeling a bit anticlimactic, but the day was so euphoric that most people (myself included) quite happily looked past it.

Wonder if he'll have the bottle to take in this year's lap of 'honour'...

I think a lot of that stems from photos of them as part of the squad photos.
In my book that is/was nuts.
There were some that called King Power out early doors, coined the phrase KPFC etc but they were victims of witch hunts and pile on’s.

The thing is, when we are winning trophies and league games etc they can be as weird as they want. I don't care because I'm not interested in them, only the players and club.

But thats half the reason they got away with it for so long. Duped the fanbase.

Christ there was a twitter account which was used to ‘out’ voices who called out the King Power bullshit.

The gold on the kit is the litmus test for me. People were against that from the start and told to basically shut up because King Power could do what they want. Again shouted down by the hordes for something as sacred as the club colours.

All those threads will still be on here, would be interesting to revisit

Didn't we have a minutes silence for the king of Thailand's death?

Was starting to gather some steam pre - crash if I remember correctly

Then from the crash till about 2022 any descent was verboten

The first Rudkin out banners were in 2017 at Swansea (9 years ago!)

Yet it gets called rewriting history to bring these things up.

It is not rewriting history and not just attacking Aiyawatt or questioning Vichai as a reason to get at Aiyawatt. We just turned a blind eye to it for years.

It’s embarrassing having the club behaving like this.

I agree with a point that was put to me yesterday on this thread, that we wouldn’t have been bringing this up had the club been sold in 2018. But it doesn’t make it rewriting history to call it out now, in retrospect.

People were bringing it up but like a lot of the stuff they were doing, it was accepted because of success. Success of others.

Them images almost engrained themselves on some fans and have led them to correlating all our success down to Vichai and Top.

I'm as against anything that isn't blue or white being on our home kit as anyone is, and I loathe the gold, but that ship had sailed long before King Power arrived. There was yellow on the 1994(?) shirt, and there had been red bits back in the eighties, I think?

Still no excuse for the gold, but this problem isn't exclusive to King Power.
