This is my take on things as it currently stands, it is now or never for me, either there needs to be significant change to how we operate as a club both on the pitch and commercially or it’s time for new ownership.

Top has an opportunity to shake it up by appointing an experienced football operator as CEO to replace Susan Whelan and also accept that it’s time to freshen it up on the football side as well by moving Rudkin into  another role within the KP sporting organisation and bring in a new fresh thinking DoF but also accept it’s time to step back and allow these people the authority to do their jobs effectively and restructure the club and playing style to better fit the needs of the modern game and to establish our own LCFC identity.

We need to rebuild the scouting, analysis and sports science side of the club, like it was under Pearson as we were head and shoulders above the rest.

In regard to the obsession of playing like Man City this has become a millstone around our necks, we are no longer capable of playing this way and in truth it’s outdated, we need to find our LCFC style and identity, football moves forward and you have to continue to be progressive and tweak your style to stay competitive, we haven’t and I truly believe this is because this was Vichai’s vision when he appointed Puel, and Top is reluctant to move away from that style and doubled down on it by asking Maresca to play like Man City.

It feels like the club is still working to the blueprint that Vichai had in place and unfortunately football moves quickly and currently we are afraid to move forward and perhaps change from that vision.

This is where Top needs to show real leadership and not be afraid to make big decisions that are required to move the club forward again and to protect the legacy of his father.

Football is ever changing and very different from even 6/7 years ago however to us whilst players and managers come and go very little has changed in the structure of how we run our club.

It is all too familiar and as a result the culture and standards continue to decline, the club needs new impetus, fresh ideas and a cultural reset, that can only come with systemic change including personnel, structure, direction, leadership and behaviour.

We cannot continue to drift along operating in the same manner as we did 6,7, 8 years ago, we have to be agile and dynamic. The time has come for Top to make tough decisions and build a new era for the club that shapes us for the future if he cannot make those changes or is unwilling to change then I think it’s time for him to accept that he has taken the club as far as he can and that it’s the right thing to sell to someone who has the energy and vision to take us forward in a different direction.

Excellent post this

Wednesday 10 million plus 50 million liquidity. Leicester 420 million plus 60 million liquidity. Big difference unless Top decides to swallow a 400 million loss cannot see it.

Spot on. Highly doubtful we see any change and I think we are destined for further decline and catastrophic financial problems. He will end up having to leave with us in a far worse place than they bought us and it will be galling to see.

If only top thought along the same lines as fans do. My take on this is 'strap yourself in and get ready for a bumpy ride'.

Interview with Top to be released later today

Part of me is really curious to see what he has to say, the other half knows it's going to be lots of deflection/won't be taking accountability and is just going to make me angry.

I doubt it will be any different from the start of season notes he has put out the past few years saying yeah its disappointing what has happened, need to stick together, stop with the hurty words etc.

This could be the dawn of a new era of engagement and change at the club. That would be most welcome.

Equally, it could also be PR BS to placate fans. I know where my money is…

I think if they get this re-shuffle wrong, then they become even more indefensible which would surely spell the end.

Gives them another few years with some fans though doesn't it, if this goes wrong and things continue to get worse they won't admit that for a good few years.

Depends … if we go down in the next couple or end up fighting relegation with the new staff then it’s completely indefensible even for them.

The irony of the Stoke game being part of safe gambling week, and every few adverts was one of numerous gambling sponsors.

More than other groups, fear that people under-20 may have started gambling as a result of such advertising.

The football club owned by a betting company? Colour me surprised

Just sell up. You’ve destroyed the club and your legacy here. It’s an achievement to sink us this low. It was virtually impossible but the gimp has done it.
