jayfox26 Posted 26 December 2024 Posted 26 December 2024 It's clear Justin is done and is only playing as we literally have nobody else, but does anyone know of any realistic options we could look at in January. Would have to be a loan from abroad or a permanent signing unless both OE and FB go back to their parent clubs.
Popular Post moore_94 Posted 26 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 26 December 2024 Time to go and raid Belgium/Genk again Zakaria El Ouahdi - 22 years old and has played with El Khannouss at both Genk and for the Moroccan national side 17
Popular Post MonarchFox Posted 26 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 26 December 2024 I'd have a go for Trippier on a 6 month loan deal 10
Tommy Fresh Posted 26 December 2024 Posted 26 December 2024 Posted videos before in other threads but either of Gastón Martirena or Federico Pereira would be class

Not sure what wages he'd be on though and also we can't do anymore prem loans unless OE or FB return to their parent clubs. Edited 26 December 2024 by jayfox26 1

Tielemans63 Posted 26 December 2024 Posted 26 December 2024 Trai Hume at Sunderland who we've been linked with before. Milan Van Ewijk at Cov is a good player, too
Popular Post Scotch Posted 26 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 26 December 2024 Devyne Rensch from Ajax. Out of contract in summer and can play anywhere in the back line. Only 21, Dutch so maybe Ruud can have a word. 6
Sankey93 Posted 26 December 2024 Posted 26 December 2024 Got to get 4/5 in to stand a chance! This ain’t Ruud’s team! Top surely getting his cheque book out. Valentin Gomez Olivier Boscagli Zakaria El Ouahdi Ernest Nuamah Yuri Alberto I know I’m dreaming 😂 1

kingfox Posted 27 December 2024 Posted 27 December 2024 As @moore_94 has posted, El Ouahdi is someone I also mentioned a few weeks back, he’s arguably been the standout right-back in Belgium this season, if you want a purposeful attacking right-back his numbers are extremely solid. For successful attacking actions, he ranks 3rd for right-backs in the Jupiler. Elsewhere I’d be tempted to look at Joao Mario’s situation at Porto, Martim Fernandes seems very much their first choice RB nowadays. Pablo Maffeo of Mallorca would be my other shout. Currently averaging just over 4 successful attacking actions per90, the best of any RB in La Liga. Also ranks highly amongst right-backs for cross accuracy 55% and successful dribbles 63%. 3
Lcfcrory Posted 27 December 2024 Posted 27 December 2024 I think Rensch looks a good option Josha Vagnoman at Stuttgart is another one worth a look, 18 months left on his contract.

He'll have far better options, on far better wages come the summer, unfortunately.

If you look at the teams that players leave Ajax to go to, it's generally teams like Wolves, Porto, West Ham, Hoffenheim, Marseille, etc. None of whom are a 1000 miles away from us, particularly in terms of wages. They do sell players to the likes of Utd, Arsenal. Inter. Bayern, etc but these aren't the players we would be looking at, nor does this particular one fit into that category. 1
sdb Posted 27 December 2024 Posted 27 December 2024 Basically, there's loads of good options out there and yet we'll end up with Ashley Young for £5mill on £70 p/w 3
Blanchflower78 Posted 27 December 2024 Posted 27 December 2024 Dropping like a stone and 2 fixtures to come which we expect zero points. Could also be a gap opened up by Jan. Changes the dynamic for those who may have been interested in coming. Feels like another painful window awaits. 1
