I wasn’t there today so take this criticism with a pinch of salt, but it hurts even the more listening to a packed away end taking the absolute piss - Ranieri, we’re ****ing shit etc, but not laying a single glove back.

There are 115 charges outstanding and 10 games without a win and lcfc fans are more interested in sitting on hands and ‘just being there’

This was my biggest pain today.

We have absolutely nothing to us as a fanbase. We just let them take the piss out of us with zero retort and zero creativity.

I can't believe we are so low as to have zero reply to that.

So it’s lack of quality then

Who knows ? Like l said, l take your point.

He isn't the first player to find the jump difficult & definitely won't be the last. The gap is widening year after year......most likely, again, the 3 that came up, are going back down. However, our recruitment is another issue though.

Feel like we missed out today, and didn't take advantaged of that, but people are happy because we lost  2-0 to out of sorts Man City, and their fans singing City are staying up, show how far they have dropped.

One more thing I'll add and see if @StriderHiryu can build on it in his analysis if he hasnt done it yet?

When we're on the attack, we have no one attacking the back post especially on the right side. We seem to go central a hell of alot lot almost like little kids playing.

You see other teams Wingers or full backs holding the width then going, we don't have it.

Under Ruud we tend to attack with 4 going forwards, with a 5th joining quite late in the attack. Under Maresca we'd attack with 5.

It means you are a bit more stable on transition, but you do lack a bit of a punch going forwards. But that said I think it's the right apporach for a team like us, we need to get the amount of chances we concede down as a foundation to build from. Problem is we make so many unforced errors, and in the Premier League, those get punished.

I expect for Villa or our next league game after that to have 2new defenders and a new forward then maybe bring someone else in to play wide toward the end of the window. Dont think we will bring in any midfielders as we have a surfeit, particularly when Ndidi is back.

We have known we are short since the start of the season and so no excuse for a slow window. its shit or bust.

Very poor this season. I’m not surprised. piper nailed it on RL when he said he’s more focussed on looking like a premier league player than actually playing like one. I was shocked he stayed on so long today

I just don't buy this. I like the lad. Absolute 100%er and never goes hiding.

Prepared to accept the ball under pressure, some nice cross field runs, niggles away at times at De Bruyne and Fidon,  couple of decent overlaps today and a proper Fuchs style cruncher on front of the east stand midway through second half

Spot on. Don’t get the criticism for VK. Yeah, there are better FBs in the league of course, but replacing him is well down our list of January priorities for me.

I do wonder if he's a pretty good championship winger but perhaps just doesn't have that edge needed at the PL that Fatawu clearly does.

He's clearly got quality in him, that ball he put in for Vards was brilliant. We need to see more of that though, he does quite often seem to wait for the defender to make some sort of mistake without really doing a lot.

I feel like maybe he's a little low on confidence at the minute.

I guess I’m about the only person here then that thought he had a rather better game today

I agree I thought he was a solid 7/10 today.

Nah, he just looks completely lost when the balls at his feet.

Can't remember the last time he got himself into a goal scoring position either.

If i remember rightly, he some how managed to look sh1t in the Championship too at one point. It was only when he got dropped he returned a different player.

I think there's a player in there, but playing only because hes slightly less sh1t than the alternatives.

I think he’s a player that needs a year in the prem. Cant do what he did to full backs in the championship, doesn’t have as much time and freedom.

Today? Had a shot that went just wide?

Keeper only gets a yellow in situations like that now.

Only if his challenge is deemed to be a genuine attempt to win the ball and I don’t think Ortega’s would be seen as that.

A far better watch than the usual match at home to them where we generally watched them pass it around. Encouraging that we looked comfortable on the ball and kept probing but the difference was the finishing.

No lack of spirit or effort today but we had to do more in the box. So many good balls across not converted.

Signings are imperative.

Only my 4th game this season but I'm just home and my main takeaways...

Atmosphere is dead... I think the loudest chant I heard was after Man City scored their second goal and the crowd managed a "Leicester. Leicester" for about 10 seconds.

Surprised to see so many people blame JJ for the first goal, it's 100% on those that let Foden just drift into a shooting position and the goalkeeper should be pushing that anywhere but where he did and he'll be doing that 50 times a day in training. I actually thought in the first 45 that JJ's running up the right was our main pressure release and let us get up the pitch a lot and create space elsewhere whereas I think VK didn't offer much until the last 20 or so. Both need to work on end product.

Bilal was great with lots of energy and quality  and I think with every game he's adapting more to the league and will be a great player for us. Very impressed with Soumare even if he did fade towards the end but he was the stand-out to me in a midfield where everybody played well today.

Missed chances! Frustrating that we couldn't do better with the chances we created and at the game some of the offsides looked really marginal and would like to see them back.

Second goal was too easy but chasing the game and their quality it is what it is.

I think one noteable thing under Ruud is that the players seem to have bought more into what he's trying to do and never seemed on board with whatever it was Cooper was trying to do.

We completely blew it today. We wont play a worse team this season at KP. Off the ball they are worse than we are. It was like playing against mannequins when we had the ball. We just couldnt finish them off. If it wasn't Man City, there'd be a lot more negativity around this result, given their recent results.

Certainly not all negative. Front 6 look good. Hamza a nice cameo at RB. Some changes needed at the back. Specifically fullback.

I think confidence may be a problem.

But he more often than not just looks too slow in speed of thought, he doesn't see the right pass or move quick enough. You can see that extra quality in Bilal who was excellent today.

We really do need another winger, with pace to get behind teams like Fatawu could.

It's been said on here before, the extra width Fatawu used on right stretched the defence and really benefited the rest of the attack, including Mavididi over on the left. I really like Buonanotte but he does drift inside and doesn't leave much cover for JJ either.
