No doubt in my mind that even if they somehow manage to scrape top 4 this year they will fall off a cliff (similar to us 16/17) next year.

They are massively overachieving atm and should be 7-9th.

They already need to sell prior to June 30th to comply and so it will be interesting to see how they replace the inevitable losses at CB and MGW.

Nuno had similar success at Wolves for a while and then it just stopped and the style of play very quickly becomes a big issue for the home support.

No, absolutely not. It’s ****ing Forest. Back on their ****ing perch is one thing, doing the one thing only we’ve done would make them unbearable.

I hope they enter Brendan Rodgers second half of the season syndrome and finish 10th.

8th. We somehow knock them out of the European places altogether and the vultures pick them apart in the summer.

Unfortunately yes, QMC. Always a constant source of disappointment to see that on your passport lol

I think I may have said that previously in defence of KDH who people were saying couldn’t be a Leicester fan as he was born in Nottingham!

Yes and like any true Leicester fan, I haven't forgotten nor forgiven that nugget of information.  I was born at the Royal, where my mum was also a nurse, being from good Leicester stock she delivered me herself, no fuss, and was back at work for her next shift.

Joking aside I can't really get my head around people who can take anything other than extreme annoyance at Forest doing well.  Is football really becoming that sanitised? Local rivalry and having many years of sneering at Forest, Coventry etc are one of the pleasures of supporting Leicester.  Of course, now it's gone to shit I'll have to take my medicine but b0llocks if I wish anything but a plague upon their houses!

These guys sent Slot into a psychotic breakdown after the win in September, I can’t see a world where he doesn’t set them up meticulously so that they hammer Forest to be honest.

I can see it being like our Boxing Day game against them in 2019. Murmurs of us being genuine title contenders, buzz about a top of the table clash in our own back yard only for us to get absolutely thumped by a ruthless Liverpool. That spanked our confidence overnight and we rarely looked the same afterwards.

I’ve gone from not bothered to fully behind them after seeing Liverpool fans moaning about Forest’s spending. It’s astonishing the lack of self awareness.

It’s insane fans of ‘big six’ clubs come out with conspiracy theories about the world being against their club when the whole of football is weighted in their favour by their design. I’m sure we’ll see more examples of that tomorrow.

I would be more than happy to see Forest win the league rather than any of the big six ....

Same, I feel all clubs need to unite against the corrupt greedy 6

Sorry, but anyone who thinks like this is not a true Fox.

There is no excuse whatsoever to support any scenario in which the trees finish above us.

A successful Forest - especially in current circumstances - is not good news for football in general or Leicester City in particular.

During the Clough years, much of the increase to their fanbase within the East Midlands came at the direct expense of Derby and ourselves.

There's every reason to fear the same would happen in the years ahead, especially if their stadium expansion plans actually became reality.

So this is all the more reason for us to look towards putting our own house in order ASAP, so we can compete with them again and knock them back off their perch.

and no fans that don't care if they win it that have gone home and away for decades...saying they're not true Leicester fans is laughable. some people don't give two ****s about forest other than wanting to beat them when we play.

I find your response EXTREMELY RUDE.

I have supported LCFC for 65 years now & you want to tell that I'm not a true city fan because I don't want the oil backed " filthy six " to win the league.

You are more than welcome to disagree with me but there is no excuse  for your bad manners.

It was bad but I actually think the turning point for us was the draw with Norwich at home a couple of games before. It stopped our run of wins and momentum (also Vardy's consecutive scoring run 2.0) . Never looked that silky again even in the wins we did get

He's right. If you want Forest to win the league you aren't a true Leicester fan. There isn't any debate.

They’re right though even if the way they replied to you has triggered you.

You can separate the two things, i.e being happy for a non-big 6 club to win but then Forest themselves being that club.

The poster made good points regarding fan base but you can also add to that competition for talent within the region.

Either way, can you make an argument for Forest winning the league and that not being bad for Leicester? From the above factors and just from it tarring our own achievements. I suspect you can’t but I’ll willingly hear the argument as to how it is a good thing for us.

With the above said, Leicester fans should want what is good for Leicester and of course, want to avoid the bad. That is why I simply cannot get my head around people saying they want Forest to win the league unless they are playing the little ‘I don’t care’ game that their lot play.

As I have said, I don’t even hate them myself. This is purely about how it affects my club.

I wasn’t as bothered about Villa and Newcastle finishing top 4 the last couple of years apart from being pissed off at how much it showed Rodgers had failed those 2 years.

Difficult one, i go to England away with friends who are forest fans. There obviously good lads, and supported them through everything beforehand. I guess if your supporting an east midlands team, then fair play to you. But then ive met alot of their mates at england away, and there's a huge amount of forest that follow England, and they have been complete and utter w"nkers, barking on about leicester, when pissed up. So think getting into europe would be enough for me.

No course it won't soon as they played a real top 2 team in arsenal they got beat .. they won't win the league no chance and neither would I want them to

So did we when we won it.

Can it happen, absolutely it can, lots of big teams having off seasons (same as 15/16), they keep picking up wins.

Another bloody nose to the premier league and the Greedy 6 if they won it. Id love for them to win it. I dislike the "big 6" and the love in more than I dislike any individual team.

If Forest continued their current form and went at 2 points per game for the rest of the season, Liverpool would need 1.57 (currently 9th) per game to win the league. So I just cannot in any world see it.

Same. I used to hate Forest more than any other club but I hate the big six far more now for the role they've played in ruining elite English football. Having said that Forest are dodgy and have spent loads so it's not exactly be a fairy tale. But I still think it's good to break up the monopoly on the CL places every so often.
