Don’t care. Could be City, could be Liverpool, could be Arsenal, could be Forest.  Whoever deserves to win it will do.  If it’s not us winning anything I couldn’t care less who wins what.

what I will say though is I’m all for ANY team that bloodies the noses of the traditional big boys for a season or two.

Don’t think we’ve got a chance? Unless you’re one of those Leicester CITY fans who refers to Manchester City as City (so annoying !!!!!!!!)

On the plus side, if by some miracle we survive, it shows what can be done with a decent manager who has a plan and a good transfer window.

This time last year, they were us. Crap signings, PSR problems, lacking identity after half a season of Cooperball and looking doomed.

I've had a pretty vehement dislike for them and their fuching shower of shite fans for years.

However, in view of the Premier League corruption, the absolute sack of crap PSR is etc I'd be absolutely fine in them winning it and sticking 2 fingers up to the Premier League and the BIG 6

Fair play to them would be my first thought.

I'll put this under unpopular opinions you hold thread

P.S What's more likely to happen is that they beat Liverpool at the shitty or even get a draw. Liverpool win the league and the F*rest idiots declare themselves the rightful winners on the basis of their results against Liverpool - A team they still see as a major rival more than 45 years on from the games they played in the late 70's / early 80's.

One absolute battering from Liverpool in a week and threads like this will thankfully stop. Newcastle and Man City will be within 2 and 3 of them then too.

That's the point for me. As good as they've been, they and Liverpool are the only teams in that top six who haven't suffered from a loss of form. Newcastle fans wanted Eddie Howe out not so long ago and they're flying. Manchester City put in relegation form for the best part of two months, but are only six points behind.

The margin for error is minuscule when the chasing pack is capable of putting five, six or even more wins together on the spin.

They’ve won six in a row as well. All logic suggests that they’ll be dropping points in the next few games because teams simply don’t win 8-9-10 games in a row (apart from peak Man City).

That's why their 2PPG average is a bit inflated. We can say that if they replicate it in the second half of the season, they get 76 points and that's enough for UCL, but that relies on them either maintaining this run or replicating another. I suspect they'll probably revert to midtable form after a likely defeat to Liverpool and get Europa.

No wonder we have stadium full of zombies when we've got so many fans who supposedly aren't arsed about Forest possibly winning the league

1. They're not going to win the league. Anyone with half a brain cell knows that

2. Any energy the fans can be bothered to muster up should be used to show the discontent at the shambolic running of this club

It's genuinely embarrassing that we care more about what they're doing than ourselves

You can be annoyed at the way our club is being run and still express how revolting the thought of them winning the league would be lol

If we did it, of course it's possible they can even if it's unlikely.

Ah, I remember this time last year....were Villa "doing a Leicester".

Couple of defeats later and it was back to reminiscing about Peter Withe and Co. Same with Forest. Moment in the sun with people far too young to know about Brian Clough remembering him like your favourite uncle.

In what world would it eclipse our story? MGW cost more than our whole squad in 15/16.

Exactly. That's why I'd be ok with it. I'd rather any team than one of the so-called big six (who haven't actually locked out the top six positions in years... ever?)

We’ve more chance of finishing top half then they have of winning the league.

With how rancid we've been recently, I'd say there's more chance of them winning the league than us winning another game. Although I'm definitely a glass half empty kinda guy 🤣

If they win the league and we go down, that’ll be the worst season I’ve seen.

We play them at their place in May, I’ll let you do the maths on when that will all fall into place.

Wouldn’t really bother me, and if they do then fair play. What would bother me would be the comparisons of whose was the greater under dog story.

They’re a decent side and they’re having a great season. Let’s see if they can keep it up.

Same.
Their keeper, Sels is outstanding and they have only conceded 19 goals ( same as Liverpool)

If they avoid injuries I reckon they will be at least top 4.

I wouldn’t worry, we’re obviously not winning it.

At the start of the season we’d all have seen about 14th as very good progress.   Now we’ve had a good start, it would be great to be top half.  Any more than that would be a massive and unexpected  bonus.

Our fans were probably 50-60pc positive / 40pc negative when you won the league.  The local aspect was outweighed by the fact that you were disrupters and we still hate Tottenham after they cheated us in 1991.

Oh I've got endless reserves of moaning. Limitless.

I can moan about the club, and moan about Forest, and still have plenty left for the terrible standard of driving nowadays and why do people leave bags of dog shit around Swithland Woods

I felt that. I lived on Radcliffe Road when we won the league and played football with loads of Forest fans and all bar one were buzzing we won it.

Makes it even more awkward when I speak to them now about wanting you lot to fall off a cliff lol

Certainly having a purple patch at the moment, all depends on endurance mentally and physically but their looking good for Europe. All that said, they're very fortunate to even be in the Prem after the play off final win v Huddersfield where they should have had 2 penalties given against them.

I’d imagine it was probably easier comparatively for you lot to be ok with us winning it back in 2016 than us for you now (winning or top 4 etc) based on how we ourselves have fallen and of course even after the title, being in your position now for 2 years and failing to capitalise. If you do any of that as a local side, it will just compound our own failings and fall from the top club in the region.
