Somewhat underwhelming that its been straightforward for Selby. Him winning by 9.30 doesn't seem right.

Brilliant from him all week, his troubles come when he breaks down in the 40s/50s but scoring was top notch.

No real reaction to winning either, calm and relaxed.

Why was that so awkward from both at the end? lol

Judd didn’t really seem that bothered and Mark played it off like it was some exhibition match

I know it’s not a ranking event but some serious prize money to be had

World number one and the home favourite I thought the atmosphere would be seriously impressive yet even during the last few frames you could see plenty of empty seats…wtf?

An all round masterclass from Selby tonight, scrapped it out at the start of the session, then bangs in three centuries to finish :appl:

Another different winner this season, the UK Championship is going to be impossible to call this year.

For a stage like matioli arena the ticket prices were stupid.

I paid £40 to be at the back for the semi, the final was a ton

That MC guy that interviews them is fvcking horrendous, he doesn’t read the room or listen to the players answers at all

Telling Judd that he must have taken confidence from the week (even though himself has said he’d played awfully)

Then proceeded to get very hands on with Selby like he was his best mate or something, proper cringe guy lol

If you're talking about Rob Walker, couldn't agree more. Bloke needs a one way ticket to outer space

He's the reason we have a mute button on remote controls.

UK Championship final round of qualifying live on YouTube today and tomorrow.

The Leicester lads of Joe O’Connor, Ben Woollaston, Tom Ford and Louis Heathcote have all made it through to the final round.

O’Connor plays Woollaston tonight 👍🏻

Not a great draw for Dave Gilbert.

I saw him in the club this afternoon practicing. He was actually having his hair cut in the bar by some young guy who'd come in to do it for him. Later on I heard them talking and Dave said how much, and the bloke said £60....

Disappointed  with WC Zhao since he won the World.

Saw him at Champions of champions at matioli and he was crap, crap again today.

A few false dawns over the last few years but this is the closest we’ve been to seeing the Selby of 10 or so years ago.

Relentless when he doesn’t overthink and just gets down on the shot.

Could be a classic tomorrow if they both bring their best.

In agreement with the above, we’ve seen bits and pieces of good stuff from Selby in recent years, but in terms of form and consistency, what he’s produced over the past month is the best he’s looked in years, all facets of his game are working extremely well atm.

Absolute vintage Selby tonight. Not really enough superlatives to describe that performance.

Murphy was very good too but Selby was unstoppable. :appl:

There was a feature on the guys born in 1975 and turned pro in 1992 by the bbc  and how they keep going well but so does Selby and he isn’t too far behind age wise ?
