adejo92 Posted 12 January Posted 12 January (edited) I'd love us to carry through some momentum but I really don't see us getting anything from this. I'm going for 3-1 Palace. Mateta will bag for them, most likely from 1 of the 40+ crosses that will come in from down their left flank. A points absolutely no good. We've got ourselves in to the position now where we need 3 points against the likes of Palace at home. Edited 12 January by adejo92

Can't settle for anything less than 3 points. Of course I'd like to see us win, But when you're not winning games at all a draw is not the worst place to start. As it demonstrates some level of improvment.

Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 12 January Popular Post Posted 12 January Need a big game from Winks and Soumare, we need to win the midfield battle and try to nullify the threats through to their attack. I recall Winks being very poor in the 2nd half at Selhurst Park and we eventually paid the price. Him and Soumare are the only twio viable players right now for that position though. Bounanotte and El Khannouss have to play together. It's no coincidence we keep losing football games that Jordan Ayew starts in, he can't get near the opposition. Stolarczyk Justin Faes Okoli/Vestergaard Kristiansen Winks Soumare Bounanotte El Khannouss Mavididi Vardy 5
Mickyblueeyes Posted 12 January Posted 12 January With the problems we have in defence, when fit, would anyone bring Wilf back into defence ? IF we do not sign a new Cb ? Did it well enough a few times in the past. It would be desperation but I can’t see either Faes or Coady at the back and not have kittens.

I personally think he was an absolute liability when he was ever deployed there. A walking penalty giver. 9

Like him or not he seems to pop up with a goal or assist. Similar to Mavididi at the moment I guess. For me the central midfield is a problem that needs to be solved. Too many off moments that cost a lot more at this level. I was happy with Skipp in his little cameo....I wonder if there is a performance in the young unknown £25 million wonder kid ?

It can't even be said that Ayew is in for his ability to help out defensively, he can't get anywhere near the opposition to help. I much prefer him as a sub coming on to win tactical fouls and hold the ball up. 8

Its the worst place to put Wilf. He had same horrid games there in the relegation season, and he no where near sharp or smart enough to do it.

Can miss an obvious pass quite often or delay things unnecessarily. I wonder if Ruud thinks something similar? I hope that RVN gives Bilal and Bounanotte a run together now. We can't get much worse results wise! 2

Not at all, bar one game he was poor. We're not that desperate. Vestergaard and Okoli for me. Ndidi was a liability and a penalty waiting to happen.

Some of the issues could be resolved with him coming back into the midfield two in his old role as a proper shield to the back 4. 1
Tielemans63 Posted 12 January Posted 12 January I thought Wilf started the season pretty well in his 'normal' position. The midfield certainly seems a lot less porous when he plays. When is he fit again? 1

Vestergaard and Okoli fine.

I like Okoli so any 2 of those 3. 1
