Will be the same as Max Dowman at Arsenal

Sure that is exactly what it said about Monga.

I think if we get an offer of £10million plus he will be gone. We'll just need the cash.

Not sure Monga could even command such a transfer fee...

Personally I think he has been really poor this season when he has got any play, which has been pretty limited.  They’ve already coached the free spirit out of him already, he has been lucky enough to pick up the Steph & Ayew constant short pulling tic though, so he’s learnt something in his development this year.

agree, he has been poor this season when he comes on - let's not sugarcoat it.

Hopefully down to confidence and he has an end product once he gets his confidence back and in a team with a better moral

We wont get anywhere near that much for him, I just hope that whatever fee we get, we negotiate a future sell on clause. But seeing as it will be Rudkin negotiating the deal, I doubt that will happen...

Almost looks like he has spent too much time around Mavididi

Said as much here

I've noticed Monga has either copied or has a few of his traits too sadly, he's not what young players should aspire to be like. Pearson would have him out the door as fast as Beckford and Danns

Harsh as it may sound, I'd argue you're ONLY paying for potential in Monga's case.

but it wouldn’t be the case. When he came on to the scene, he was turning experienced championship RBs inside out. As a 16 year old. That’s going to get a lot of peoples attention. For whatever reason, he’s gone off the boil. I don’t think  he’s suddenly become a crap  player, I think he’s received bad coaching  advice… that he’s focusing on the need to be more disciplined, contributing more defensively and is trying to stick to our shape and it doesn’t seem that we have the coaching set up to teach him how to do that and express himself at the same time. Add to that his ‘mentor’ is Mavididi who in my opinion has been very poor this season. He’s basically got no one to teach him here.

He needs to leave for the sake of his career. he IS a diamond of a player, but if players twice his age and tenfold the experience have shrank into their shell this season we can’t really expect anything else from a 16 year-old either.

Youth players impressing is nothing new. Hype is built and when international call ups come, it adds to the fire. But as a club, we're hardly in a good negotiating position with regards to our league standing, financial situation, coaching situation, playing time or playing style. His reputation will certainly not have increased over the past year: He's now a year older, not established himself or impressed in a lower league and been part of another relegation.

I would disagree with this part, with  he context of ‘ the past year’ being either the last 12 months or the past season. I think when he played he certainly impressed and increased his reputation at times otherwise he wouldn’t have such clubs interested in him.

When he first started getting minutes in the 1st XI last season he was embarassing experienced Premier League defenders so many of us thought he would rip it up in the Championship.

Part of the reason, of course, is that he was an unknown quantity so opposition teams hadn’t thought about how to play him.  The same happened with Mahrez when he was effectively nullified for a while by opponents working out that although he was very tricky he was actually quite predictable.  The difference was that he adapted and he emerged as an even more lethal threat.

We haven’t seen it this season but I still believe with his close control, speed and strength, Monga could be a top player if he were well coached.  Sadly I don’t see us attracting someone of that calibre so for his own development he needs to move on.

I think the one thing that could put some big teams off buying him is his off the ball work rate. Hes clearly immensely talented but there’s such an emphasis on the hard yards off the ball that some might be slightly put off.

I am intrigued to see what fee he will command, I think we are talking anywhere between £5m - £10m.

25% sell on clause needs to be included irrespective of the fee.

He looked great and dangerous at the start of the season when coming off the bench, constantly trying to take his man on, scared the absolute sh!t out of the Preston left back when he came on in the game he scored

I would also be pretty pissed off if I was him when you see some of the performances Mavididi has put in this season and you barely get a sniff just because he is “more experienced”

I would hope he stays and gets a proper chance next year, but I also actually want him to be able to go somewhere and get the kind of development he should be getting

Going to be a great player

Bang on. He’s definitely being influenced whether directly or indirectly by the likes of Mavididi. I can’t help but feel Monga has looked disinterested, but I do think the lack of role models in the squad have contributed to that.

He probably saw the bloke that was playing in front of him week in week out and wondering how he doesn't get a sniff. Obviously not a great outlook to have if you're young and trying to earn your stripes but still, I can't imagine it helped his confidence!

lol Sums up our fans and their backing of academy prospects. Would prefer to clap Harry Winks then get a 16 year old some slack.

Just hope he can enjoy his football more next season, I think he might flourish having a set of senior players around him that actually want to be here. We all know there’s some really bad eggs in that dressing room, once these players are gone we might see a difference in his development.
