I just get the feeling Tom is going to have a decent career. This would be worse than Krameric, beacuse we had Vardy and company. Once the GOAT retires, we are left with shank the ball Daka. The situation is really bad at LCFC.

Dont know why everyone is flapping, hes not that great, talking like weve just sold messi

He’s proven a few seasons now he can score goals in the league we are going to be in next season, surely worth more than 10M if he scored the goals to get us promoted

We're going to regret this. Not necessarily a Kane level of 'what if' but Kramaric vibes for sure. With our current trajectory, we will need players of his calibre when we go down.

Don't really give a shit if we made a (miniscule) profit, it's just yet another example of our complete lack of direction or joined-up thinking when it comes to squad development.

Use £3m to sign Richard Kone from Wycombe and leave him there on loan until the summer.

I'm not convinced we sign a new striker to use this season unless Edouard goes which he isn't doing.

Hes scored 9 goals in 22, 4 goals being penalties. Thats playing 90minutes every game as well.

Hes not prolific at all. Daka would outscore him given a decent run if Vardy retires.

Like we did when we bought Cannon?

Another point to make - we apparently rated Cannon highly enough at the time to shrug off the medical and sign him while he had a back injury, and were willing to spend 2 months nursing him back to health before he made a whopping 13 appearances, mostly cameos from the bench.

Seagrave really is a day spa.

Tom Cannon has never been, and never will be as good as Andrej Kramaric.

It's incomparable with Kramaric, he was never going to get in the side past Vardy and when he had chances he didn't take them. Cannon had chances scored some goals and would be a great fit at the level we're plummeting to, just bizarre that any manager could put a misfit like Daka ahead of that sort of potential.

Good luck to the lad. Let's hope we don't regret it next season.

Bit of a weird one.

Were we loaning him out to get game time and develop with a view to having him return or were we putting him in the shop window?

Miniscule profit suggests we were happy to sell and break even.

Not fussed as thought was a pointless signing in the first place.

1st decent bit of business we've done in years.

£13m for a striker with a record as bad as his in the Championship is very good going.

Now spend it on some ****ing defenders.

Daka had a run last season. Remember Plymouth away? Leeds away? Even Liverpool this season he shanked his one chance. Every time he gets in the side he just runs a lot.

Daka was ahead of Cannon last season as well, so Enzo also made that decision. Daka also scored 7 for us in 20 games whereas Cannon scored 2 for us is 13 games

So did Cannon and he was pretty crap as well

It concerns me as Vardy really is done, certainly done after this season. That leaves us with Daka. Even half decent strikers command a decent fee and there is absolutely no confidence they can bring anyone better in. I am expecting Stoke levels of Championship finishes in the next few years.

My only negative is that every time he scores against clubs like Portsmouth and Oxford you'll get the usual drips on here whinging about how we should have kept him.

I think noone would have an issue if this club had a competent plan of action, players in the pipeline etc. But we don't. We know next year Rudkin will still be here dilly dallying over bringing a player in not good enough to make tge squad. The club is rotten and pathetic to the core.

I get the logic of developing young players and selling for profit but this doesn’t feel like either. Just feel he could have been handy next season and we shift Daka on.

For me, it’s not a positive.. hope I’m wrong and the moneys invested wisely but who am I kidding… probably buy some aged crap from Crystal Palace reserves or something

We bought him for the future didn’t we? Only turned 22 last month and is already a good Championship striker. Surely that suggests a decent amount of potential?

It doesn’t make much sense unless we’re desperate for money and he was the only player with any concrete interest this window.

Ah well. Good luck to him I guess!

He hasn't got a bad record though has he? He's 22. Been playing for a crap stoke side this season and did well for Preston.
