Danny Röhl (born 28 April 1989) is a German football coach and former player who is manager of EFL Championship club Sheffield Wednesday.

In October 2023, he was appointed manager of English club Sheffield Wednesday, becoming the youngest manager in the English Football League.[7][8][9] He said he was looking forward to the challenge of his first managerial position,[10] while player Josh Windass said he was excited to learn from Röhl.[11]

Röhl's first game was a 1–0 defeat away at Watford.[12][13] His assistant coach Chris Powell urged the club's fans to be patient with Röhl.[14] His first win was a 2–0 victory over Rotherham United in his first home game.[15] Following four wins in seven matches in December 2023, he was nominated for the EFL Championship Manager of the Month.[16] Following 11 points from 6 games in April 2024, he took Sheffield Wednesday out of the relegation zone and was nominated for the Manager of the Month award.[17] Röhl secured Championship survival for Wednesday on the final day of the season following a 2–0 victory over Sunderland.[18] Following the conclusion of his debut season, Röhl signed a new contract at Sheffield Wednesday until 2027.[19][20]

It's not lightening but we're relying on the creativity of Bilal and the directness of Bobby, Jordan and Vards. It's not like Buanotte and Mavididi have done much in recent weeks.

The directness of Jordan Ayew is EASILY the dumbest thing anyone has ever said on this page. Clear winner, not even close!

The guy passes towards our goal almost every single time he gets the ball and I don't think I've ever seen him take someone on!

Premier league and our wingers are Ayew and Decordova Reid. Abysmal.

Just to Devil’s advocate for a second (not that it’d be my line up) but combined the two have:

439 Appearances in the PL

62 Goals

32 Assists

They are the definition of PL wingers (just not great ones)!

This is getting out of hand. That team selection is a piss take and the front three would be poor in the championship. Ruud is taking the piss. Desperate for a new right back but he's on the bench. Needed to start quickly and try and get an early goal. But no we pick that side.

Ayew and Reid were absolutely crap signings and that was down to Cooper with his crap idea of premier league experience. I can't blame Ruud for that but f**k me you can't play them in the same line up 🤢

Just talking to a member of the Spurs coaching staff his comment ‘wow that makes life easier’. You cannot make this up but it may work BDCR is so bad they probably have no plan for that.

Agreed Mav has no pace but I’d have gone 3-5-2 and given Vardy a partner in the quick but non prolific Daka! And the five could’ve slotted in Goodnight too!

Whatever line up we put out, let’s be honest none of us would be happy. The squad overall is absolute garbage bar one or two of the injuries, Hermansen and Bilal. Only hope today is how bad Spurs have been. Can predict goals for Son & Richarlison easily enough.

No manager proves a point at the expense of my club.

That's Gross misconduct. No pay off.

But we all know that won't happen unless he walks.

The club is broken.

Shith*ouse a win tactics then. Mav on against tiring legs.Makes sense. When we don’t start on the frontfoot Mav just dosent look up for it having to do the dirty yards and has been extremely poor the last 2 games.

In Ruud I trust.

What Rohl is doing with a largely League one squad and NO budget is remarkable

Word must also go to his staff, good set up.

Based on the formation I don't really have an issue, the players are crap and any combination doesn't work based on what we have seen.

I really think we should be trying some kind of 352, they are not going to magically get better at playing this system, they aren't good enough to execute it at this level.

Maybe we will all be shocked and they have figured out how to play it and doubled down in training. But my money is on RVN thinking "I don't care anymore, just sack me"

If you’re trying to prove a point. Start Alves. Stick a few kids in. Playing BCDR who has done nothing in his time here alongside Palace sweetheart Ayew is being a dick. I want him to prove me wrong but I can’t be watching this shit.

Justin will be caught out again today trying to get forward. It will be floodgates thereafter.

I love games like today. Everyone losing their mind at the line up when Facundo's performance against Fulham was beyond pathetic and Mavididi has been absolutely woeful. Whatever line up we pick will be cack at the moment.

No point bringing him on against tiring legs when your three down.

I would love it if he came to our club. Top manager in the making.
