That says everything you need to know about the people who are running the club. Lying to the manager time after time

I didn't read it like that. The numbers on the table probably refer to the asking price of the selling club. The budget might've remained the same but wasnt enough to get the targetted players. I'd rather we weren't ripped off as often happened in the past.

They have previous for lying. They told Rodgers he could sign a load of players before pulling the plug. Maresca was pissed off with those in charge as well. Three managers cant be wrong

Rodgers and Maresca did indeed express frustration about being deceived by those in charge. RvN hasn't, though - he's explicitly saying that the situation has been clear all along. Whether he's being honest or just digging the club out is open to debate, but given the fact he walked out on PSV because he was pissed off with the owners I don't see why he'd lie to protect Rudkin and Top. He doesn't really seem the type to do that.

And this is exactly the reaction they want....

Is it necessarily a bad thing that a good decision by the club is rewarded with a positive response?

I still beleive that there should be a major shakeup at the club but it's not constructive just to project unrelenting negativity even if they make a good decision. If anything if they promote local talent just to appease the fanbase at least it's a step in the right direction.

Monga and Evans both in the squad good news

Can’t wait to see them being subbed on at the 87th minute when we’re already 6-1 down and Man U are playing keep ball.

He really doesn't rate either Buonanotte or Edouard does he?

Edouard makes sense, he's just crap. Buonanotte, the issue is it's kinda him or Bilal, and Bilal is playing well and is our player rather than a loanee

It will be an ITV love in re United and sadly we will get battered and all the pundits will agree United have now turned their season around.  Only for United to lose their next league game.

A dream come true to change your teams fortunes .... a game against Leicester city...  it worked for Man city for several games

Trouble we have is the defenders are all shit, that makes it massively difficult. We simply cannot persist with Mr stand there and watch the ball bounce and Mr pointy blame everyone else. I don't care who else is in just not them insufferable *****

Faes was a regular feature of the defence that got relegated in 2023. The only reason Vestergaard didn't feature was because he wasn't deemed good enough. So we've actually become worse in central defence since we were relegated last time, which seems incredible. But it's true.

He comes on so late in the game on the right wing and Ruud pushes Ayew to the middle.  Buonanotte always drifts inside as Ayew is rubbish and can’t play with him, which means he tries to do too much too late and the rest of the team have given up.

Did they actually point the finger and say that? I can't remember exactly but, as in RvN case, the frustration may have been not being able to get the deals done on the budget they were aware of. Additionally, either the PSR goal posts moved or the club didn't do the sums correctly. Who knows.

Useless defenders but they also have midfielders in front of them that jog around like Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, unable to sense danger and unwilling to make any impact in the middle. Not defending the chuckle brothers at the back but at times it feels they are caught out quickly as they aren’t expecting players to get through our midfield with the ball so easily.

On the PSR front I wonder if we're trying to agree some kind of deal with the PL in this arbitration process, and that the club felt that splashing the cash in January may have weakened our negotiating position Just a guess, but seems possible.

Vesty didn't play because he pissed Rodgers off.

He pissed Rodgers off because he was publicly whining about not playing. Rodgers did not rate him and was desperate to get rid of him in the summer of 2022, but Vestergaard refused to go to Fulham because they wouldn't pay him as much as we were. After that Rodgers refused to let him anywhere near the first team.

Yes and typical Rodgers wanting him then not playing him. Just like 5 or 6 others and the start of the mess we are in.
