Stoke City giving their fans free coach travel for 13th successive season. Fantastic

Meanwhile the club coaches have gone up in price again this year to £30! Not bad for a return trip long distance, but a lot for local trips!

£30!? Club travel being about as much as the actual ticket itself is laughable

Got to pay for the really necessary army of LCFC stewards' (another one of those 'PL initiatives') travel and wages somehow.

Quite intrigued to watch tomorrow’s friendly. Very little positivity for me and I’ve struggled to get excited for the season. However, with the young kids and the relative unknown with Marti, it be interesting to see how his style is starting to work and how many of the kids have impressed him to be part of the final friendly.

looking at guys like Mavididi, Fatawu, Alves, Monga, Page, Evans, Bilal (for now), Jacob and Mads (for now). Adding (as much as I don’t want to) guys like Faes, Vestegaard, Soumare, Hamza, Skipp. I still think we have one of the strongest if not the strongest squad in the division. How the manager gets the going is key. Tomorrow will be a big test for me. Don’t expect it to be perfect by any stretch but definitely some progress.

Im looking forward to seeing the style and the young players. I expect to be beaten by a much better Italian team, but im looking for us to stick to our style and work out how to play a better team.

I hope Marti's statement of intent is a team of players who he wants to work with and any that want to leave are not starting the game. Would be brilliant if Aluko, Nelson, Page/Alves and Monga all start.

I think there is a great chance of Monga and Nelson, outside chance of Alves.

Be happy we those 3, think Page and Aluko still have a lot to learn, Monga is just a freak.

I think we will see Faes unfortunately. I'd like to start Okoli / Nelson but i think he will think this is too inexperienced.  Nelson has been all over the socials lately so think it will be Faes / Nelson. I think we won't see JJ and with Riccy injured we have to see Aluko. Alves must start. My fear is we see Soumare start.

A bit statement intent this starting 11.

Yeah i don't expect Page and Aluko to start but the statement of intent to try and move on the players in their position could be powerful.

There's not really any full back we own who is integral they stay. Even Ricardo who will be on massive wages and will go for free next summer.

Likewise central midfield. Not a single one of them who i'm fussed about keeping.

Don't hate it tbh. If someone like Pearson or O'Neil had said that back in the day we'd have all loved it.

Big time if Pearson had said it I would’ve loved it. He’s earned the right though

He's gone so early imo. Admits later that they've only played a couple of games under him! It'll come down in a blaze no doubt!

Nigel Pearson who famously never got too up or down about his team's performance (would redirect his ire towards the press). Certainly wouldn't have been calling out all the players in the first couple of games in charge.

Terrible news for all the Ipswich Town fans on here.

He's too good for that move. He's good enough to get something like Palace - possibly higher.
