Ipswich are a really interesting one for me. They absolutely rode the wave in their last Champ season but now that has dissipated it will be interesting to see how they fare. Bought some good players last summer for this level but have lost Morsey and Delap.

I think Ipswich spend the first half of the season on edge too. McKenna will get linked to every early prem sacking.

Don't think they will be dangerous as two seasons ago they was a run over a few seasons and had built up the momentum and squad, Play offs at best

It’s odd. I’m friends with a Birmingham City fan, very decent bloke, who until recently had always been very self-deprecated abouy his team. I spoke to him a few weeks ago and he told me he is “100% certain” they’re going to win the league. There is literally not a shred of doubt in his mind about it. I mean I get why they’re feeling positive and everything, but the level of confidence they have is quite something to behold.

I was speaking to a friend earlier (not a Leicester fan) and he was saying we’ve lost Vardy and KDH and with the addition of BEK & Monga, this is literally the same squad that won the championship two seasons ago.

Far worse than Wrexham for me, at least their two owners are a tiny bit funny. Brady is just a weirdo and the delusions of grandeur are off the scale.

Disgusting club. Proper weird fans too…. I hope to god they have a shit season too, I can’t stand them as a club…. It would be a real stain if they won the league…..

Brady needs to realise his name doesn’t hold up in the UK the same way as it does in the US.
 

He’s accomplished nothing in this sport other than having a net spend of £21m to win League 1 which is insane.

There are a few teams that have some excellent  championship squads e.g the teams that the betting markets have put top 6 etc but then what splits these up is the teams with individual outstanding talents e.g our wingers in particular Fatawu who is good enough for the top level when fit.. if we keep him fit that will be the difference between automatics and playoffs 100% in my eyes.

Agree.. we could still sign him and be psr positive with ndidi/coady/hermansen money.

 

We need to ideally sign players if possible that can already make the step up to the prem if we get promoted instead of relying on soumare/skipp etc as they wont be good enough again.

 

i assume there is a reason he rejected Ipswich, maybe heard someone bigger is in for him like the man utd rumours.

I know Elek annoyed a few on here 2 years ago, but it’s a belting pod, they know far more than others (2nd tier pod) on it.

Just watched Benjamin Blooms predictions and he has us EIGHTH!! For someone that does that as a job that's deeply concerning he believes that :D. Anyone that watches him will know he's had his back up about year 1 parachute teams for years, funny how he's now one of them...odd individual!

I like the pod but it did feel like Elek just had absolutely zero time for us last time. I did kind of get it but he was always very reluctant to praise us.

I agree actually, Maxwell was very happy to praise our style of play. Elek seemed to have set his doubts on Maresca very early and wanted to be proven right.
