I have a worrying feeling that these rumours was started by that weird foxesofleicester.com, a fan made website that a couple of lads run.

 

So you can't take anything that comes from them seriously, as they will just completely made stuff up, which I'm sure happens on here but Yahoo.com won't publish it on their website!

it has all gone quiet for some of the names being discussed weeks ago. Not just, on potentially joining us but basically no news on them joining other clubs. 

The two that I am thinking of are Will Smallbone and Archie Collins? 

 

I imagine they are just weighing options up from several clubs, or agents pushing for the best (biggest) deal.

One of the other things with free agents is there's less desperation these days to get them in the door and get them fit.

 

All the players do summer training with club standard coaches, some of the ones we're after might be half way through a program that matches ours and we're happy for them to join in time for the tour in Spain (which is where most will be anyway....)

Looking at current available players, minus some of the aforementioned (Smallbone, Archie Collins, Lauritsen) there have been some names linked before and it makes me wonder if there still might be a chance depending on what other offers are out there?

 

Dennis Cirkin - Linked to Burnley and Sheff Utd 

 

Matt Targett - linked to West Ham and Norwich 

 

Elijah Adebayo - this is an obscure one and may not be one to light up the world, but with us being short of experienced strikers and him being a very different outlet to what we've seen in recent years, surely a look wouldnt hurt?

 

Solly March and Adam Webster are both available but could see them in the Championship.

 

This one also may be a little out of left field, but with the pending transfers of Fatawu and Mavididi, Pione Sisto is available on a free transfer. Has been around in Europe but can play on either side or in the 10. 

 

There are a few recogniseable names like Bersant Celina and Jonathan Panzo on there but pretty sure we have our targets focused elsewhere

I just think almost everyone you've listed there is Championship minimum. I know we will probably still pay pretty well, but Cirkin, Targett, March, Webster are all top end championship minimum, probably busy sifting through all their offers!
