I knew the Brits carried out lots of warfare deceptions but never knew the Nazis did

In one of the most legendary wartime pranks, the Germans built an entire decoy airfield out of wood during WWII—complete with wooden planes, tanks, and infrastructure to mislead Allied bombers. But the British Royal Air Force, already aware of the ruse, played the long game. After months of watching the construction, they responded… with humor.
The RAF dropped a single wooden bomb on the fake airfield—mocking the deception with a symbolic gesture of brilliance. This wooden “bomb” wasn’t meant to destroy, but to humiliate. A quiet message: we see you, and we’re not fooled. It remains one of the most iconic psychological warfare moments in history.

10 minute email address.

Great for all those times - which seem to becoming more frequent - where you need to input an email address to access or register for something trivial or as a one off.

Great way to avoid being bombarded with spam from said source thereafter

They still ask for credit card details.

They advertise free temporary email address but want your card details.

Nothing is free.

Would inflating your tyres with helium make them lighter and improve fuel economy?
