My biggest fear is that Van Nistelrooy and these bunch of goons get one or two decent looking results. Ignoring the fact that they’ve got nothing to play for, have a run of games against weaker opposition (which shows how much he’s ****ed up that it isn’t a “run in”) and most teams we are playing are on the beach, it impresses the simpleton owner and they give him the gig next year. 
 

The problem of having a chairman with the IQ of a child high on weed with little or no friends and desperate to show off his McDonald’s at home, he is very easily impressed or convinced when no other person would be. 
 

Three dickheads again next season will be too much to take.

Ruud is done here. There's no way he gets a summer.

 

The tone of his post-Newcastle interview made it obvious and it's not as if he was thrown into a Dean Smith scenario where he could do nothing but add a veneer of respectability to the inevitable. He had time to turn things around and has fvcked it completely. 

 

The players clearly aren't having him, the fans aren't having him and it's pretty obvious that he goes as soon as relegation is mathematically confirmed, just as happened with Juric at Saints.

gonna take a guess and say he'll leave Chelsea by mutual consent after the final game and then be announced as Sevilla's new manager 24 hours later

TBH I didn’t rate his chances of completing the season . Wouldn’t surprise me at all

I don't get the clamouring for him. We lost 11 championship games with him as manager and we almost blew promotion. Also, he would not have the budget this time out. We have fewer assets that we could sell for big money. It's all immaterial anyway because he is not coming back.

I'm with you mate, no way do I want "Pep's clone"  back here. 

 

Don’t want to watch his boring football.

I still can't understand his stubborn unrelanting insistence to only play the "Enzoball" system without any flexibility, even though when here it was nearly our downfall.

 

We were incredibly lucky lastvtime and if it wasn't for our closest competition getting nervous, start sh1tting themselves, and let us off the hook by dropping points we were destined for the playoffs,  also chuck in the fact that the footballing world is now beginning to suss the philosophy out,  (Hence IMO Man Cities drop off in form and dominance)  not to mention we can't put together a team anywhere good enough to even make it half work, no Pep's "mini me" is not the answer people..

But that's a perfect summary of Aiyawatt's mentality.

The insane thing is that the style that brought us the most famous success in not only the club's history but arguably also that of English football is exactly what everyone with any sense is now moving towards- rock solid defence, well-drilled players, lung bursting fitness and rapid counter attacks at blistering pace. We were a decade ahead of everyone else and didn't even know it ourselves.

 

Then Top drank the Guardiola Kool-Aid because possession football bought us a couple of years of success under Rodgers and has been supping it ever since. Ahead of the curve, to following trends to behind the curve now. Rank incompetence.

 

What's mad is that we have some of the building blocks to go for a counterattacking style. Nelson and Okoli are solid, reliable defenders at Championship level. Coulibaly is a mobile fullback, Justin was last season at Championship level. Fatawu and Mavididi wreaked havoc on the break when we played that style against Southampton. Skipp is still only 24 and could easily do it against Championship sides. BEK is the creative outlet. There's depth in players like Alves. Find a decent striker with a bit of pace, physicality and ability to finish and we're on our way.

However,  I think you and I (plus no doubt  countless others) are going to be disappointed still, as Top still has the 'Kool Aid' in his system. He can't see past possession football,  he won't clear the cr@p out at board / football operations level and it wouldn't surprise me if he endorsed giving RvN a crack at the Championship..  

 

IMO for the good of the club he needs to sell up and focus on his Horse Polo and wine cellers.   Only then any new owners can hopefully come in, dump Teflon Jon and his Sidekick Sue and we can finally move forward. 

 

 But that ain't happening anytime soon.

Doing wonders at Como to keep them in Serie A on low budget, and so isn't a manager with no CV. 

Loves English football

Passing style with all action midfielders

Ties to Arsenal and Chelsea could come in handy. 

 

Definitely one if we are going to go for it next season and play a strong passing style..
