Give it to king - all the others names  are going to take us backwards and rob us blind when we try to sack them. Rather go with king, at least the fans will get behind king

It’s either because we are waiting on Rohl, or we are working our way down the list as we are being rejected. 
 

As bad as these clowns are, it makes zero sense to be sitting on our hands at this late hour.

They go Austria the week after. Not having someone in charge for that is inexcusable and the fans should genuinely speak up about it.

To this day it seems to make to much sense that we are waiting for Rohl. Everything else just simply wouldn’t make sense.

Are we just refusing to pay his compensation then? Hoping we can get him cheaper or for free if we hold on?

They essentially hit a bad patch of form at the wrong time with the results in the image below. This also happened to Enzo, both sides bounced back but for Sheffield it wasn’t enough.  And the playoffs are always a roulette. 
 

The question is more how he fits the club and I’m not sure his methods would work here. He has always carried the essence of a league 2 manager and I’m just not convinced that would work for us. it would be the same as when Holloway rocked up here, just an awful fit for the club. 
 

how can we be progressive  then go for someone who’s shaped from 90s football.  I just can’t see it being anything other than a disaster. hope I’d be wrong, but my gut tells me this is a terrible appointment

Hiring O’Neil makes no sense when he failed at two clubs smaller than ours.

 

His successors then did significantly better too.

Wouldn't surprise me. Dyche has every right to turn his nose up at us. Even Rohl I think is a freak scenario where he's working for just about the only owner more of an idiot than our own.

 

Why any manager worth his salt would want to work under this lot I've no idea. A track record of lying and screwing over the managers they appoint.

If the reactions here are typical of the club's fans the void is causing the damage. A few simple statements to supporters without giving details would be helpful and stop some of the wild speculation

In all honesty mate I have no idea, I think no one does. The reality imo is that the club are linking out other names as a negotiating tool to put Sheff Wed under some pressure.

We kept Ruud on for over a month and sacked him 5 days before the new financial year.... not making sense is our jam.

My guess is that we were banking on selling a player that would have meant we passed, but that didn’t materialize so we figured we’d already lost might as well fail by a little more and hope to balance for the next season

A couple rumours on Twitter right now - two people suggesting some staff at the club haven’t been paid.. if that was true, we’re defo not paying compensation. 
 

also you’d imagine they would have kept ruud on. I’ve linked the tweet in the king power out thread

It's such a terrible operation that it's at the point of being just bizarre - you do wonder if there is actually something else going on and there is a sale etc..

 

I just cannot explain this level of incompetence. I don't think we'll quite go down again like some do but I do think this lot have the potential to take us there in the next few years if they aren't hounded out.

 

I think other than Sheffield Wednesday there isn't a club with such inept ownership in the top two leagues. Even Sheffield Wednesday, as terrible as Chansiri is I do wonder where we'd actually be if he'd inherited us in 2018. To fall from that to this now is barely believable.
